“Just OK”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

My daughter and I traveled to Charlotte for her grad school interview. We arrived at the hotel in the evening and were barely greeted by the night person. She was professional but certainly not warm or friendly. Ditto for the person when we checked out. Beds were comfortable. Light streamed in the window all night despite the room darkening shades. Very noisy area as well--not in the hotel but outside. Bathroom outlet did not work and we had to use the outlet near the desk. The shower curtain did not cover the whole length of the shower. Room and bathroom both appeared to be clean. The complimentary breakfast was really well done. The work out equipment was very old and badly in need of updating. No remote control in the workout room and could not use the TV. A housekeeper came in while I was working out and sprayed cleaner on the mirror right next to me. Cough, cough. Glad she was cleaning it though. The outside area with rocking chairs looked good initially but was covered in cigarette butts. Gross. The location was the best feature since we were minutes from UNC Charlotte.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms on the back side of the hotel...they may be darker and quieter.

“I can stay here again.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Reserved this room through the company travel agency as the Marriot coutyard across the street got too expensive. The first night I was there I got a double bed room and it was a little lower than what I had in my mind. Tube tv and the shower system was a little weird. But very clean and nothing to actually complain about. But I had to extend my stay and the next day I got a kings room. Now that was a good room. Two lcd tvs with a living room and the bathroom was good. Overall I would come back if I were on business but I d like something more exciting if I were there on vacation..

“great customer service, immaculate room!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

I got a great deal on this hotel, and chose it due to location, price and amenities. Only downside was that the pool was cold and the hot tub was cool. They apologized and explained as due to the fact that it is an indoor-outdoor pool, and the very cold air outside competes with the pool heater. The TV in my room was not working, so I got upgraded to a great suite. The front desk was very nice and aimed to please. The room was immaculate and spacious, and the bed was luxurious. I had a nice quiet and restful night, and would highly recommend this hotel!

“Okay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

Our stay was okay. Breakfast waffle maker needs to be replaced and so does the exercise equipment. But overall stay was okay and location is quiet but convenient.

“Would stay here again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 December 2011

Our flight home on US Airways was cancelled due to mechanical problems, and they put us up here. Late night arrival, very efficient checkin (they have a free 10 pax shuttle) but I took a cab to the hotel as I did not want to wait. Very comfy beds and pillow, free wifi, good amenities, friendly staff. We stayed over on a Friday and their breakfast did not start until 7am on the weekend, 6am during the week...missed out and was very hungy from the night before. Took the free shuttle back to the airport at 6:30am, good property. If I stayed again I would ask for a room away from the parking lot.

Room Tip: No elevator, ask for ground floor if you have stair issues.
