We stay at this hotel frequently when we visit grandchildren in the area.
There are two things that we do not like: You are greeted by a dish of cat food and a scratch pole at the front door, and the cat walks around the lobby, even at breakfast time. The other thing that bugs me is that the exercise room is on the third floor (for some unknown reason). It is sometimes very spooky up there because there are no people around and you obviously cannot lock the door to the exercise room. Otherwise, we find the hotel ok. We never have problems with the front desk or maid service.

I stayed there for NASCAR weekend - it was a convenient hotel to the track - about 20 mins away. The breakfast at the hotel was good - they have a waffle maker :-) One downside is parking, they don't have enough parking. If you get there after 5, you are basically parking at the end of the lot. The neighborhood is 'okay'. It isn't the best I think. The 1 queen bed room is tiny. I did walk past an open room w/ two beds and it was much bigger. Next time, I'm getting two beds.

Clean with a bad attitude at the front desk. It seemed as if he was giving me permission to stay. So I regarded the check in process rude and not very pleasant. When I first stayed at a Microtel 9 year ago I found them clean and just the right size and price for an overnight stay while traveling by roadway. As time has gone by the cleanliness has stayed excellent but I have noticed the price has been climbing steadily without an increase in quality etc...

This is a nice little hotel for the money. Nothing fancy, but clean and sufficient for our needs. We paid only $46.75 (AAA rate) a night. We recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't need lots of amenities - just a clean bed and room to sleep in at a very reasonable price.
