“Good sleep and and great people”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 September 2010

Yeah, out of the way. Great staff and great office workers. No problems. Happy to have a clean room and good security at all times. No boogy men, I will recommend and already have, for friends to stay at this hotel. For the price and the niceness we were treated with, I will stay again and again with no issues. Mitchell, our night security man was exceptional in his duties. The breakfast was very, very good. We were in meetings most of the day but did have a chance to have a meal and it really rocked. My wake up calls were right on time, thank you. Keep up the good work, hopefully see you next year. As I said, I was in meetings most of the day and was not able to take pictures. But the rooms were nice and made you feel welcome.

“Scared to death!”

My husband & I usually like the travel on the cheap, so we're used to occasionally staying at 1-2 star hotels during our travels. That being said, this hotel has to be the WORST of the WORST places I have ever stayed. I was extremely nervous and felt very unsafe the entire time. From the moment we pulled into the parking lot, I had a bad feeling. It was very obvious that this was not a good area of town to begin with. We had been driving all day and checked in at approximately 1100 PM. The office clerk was very creepy and even attempted to aggressively flirt with me. I abruptly informed him that my husband was out in the car.
As we were going to our room, we noticed many rough-looking individuals hanging out on the balconies, laughing, cursing, drinking, and just being obnoxious. Keep in mind that it is now well after 1100PM. We then discovered that these individuals actually LIVE in that motel. They LIVE there and the management does nothing about their disruption to the guests! There were also other shady characters hanging around, including several scantly-clad women in high heels.... perhaps this place is also available by the hour....
Unfortunately, our room was very close to the permanent inhabitants (actually just a couple of doors down). They stared at us as we went into our room, and then proceeded to make noise ALL NIGHT LONG! I even woke up at 5am hearing them! My husband and I would have complained, but, quite frankly, we were terrified to say anything to management because we feared of retaliation from these animals living there.
The management was very friendly, and the continental breakfast had a waffle iron for fresh hot waffles, which were the only pluses.
We will never stay here again. Of course, you get what you pay for, but we've stayed in very inexpensive places before and have never had such a bad experience. If I didn't have my husband with me, I would have left immediately.
Just glad to have left there alive....

“great value”

this motel is not in a great part part of town. That being said, I would stay here again, because security was good. The staff were extremely nice, and the price was definitely right.

“Good Hotel for Travel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 June 2010

After staying in many hotels for work while traveling I had to spend the night at this Knights Inn for convenience sake. I was rather impressed by the hotel. It is not a high end hotel by any means for what i needed it for a bed and a shower, I was happy. When my travels lead me to Charlotte again I will have it as an option

“Best bang for your buck”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2010

For $35 a night you can't expect much so i was pleastly pleased when i arrived and noticed that it wasn't a shed in the middle of the hood. good location, nice staff, good free breakfast in the morning, and roughly only 8 miles from the epicenter where all the bars are. when i come back to charlotte the knights inn is where i will stay.
