Stayed at this Hampton Inn during our stop over to Carowinds. I can say nothing bad about this place breakfast bar was great and always stocked and ready throughout the entire breakfast. Right off the highway with shopping and restaurants near by, save the dollars and stay here might take you a few more minutes to drive over but well worth the dollars you will save for being right next door and having to deal with crowds and traffic. Pool was very clean and right out back form the breakfast area. Staff was very helpful and friendly with directions, was greeted every time I pass by with a smile and kind words. One of the better stays for a crowed town.

We stayed here so we could really play hard at Carowinds. My family and I werer really looking forward to taking a mid-day dip in the pool. Alas, the pool is not open (in MAY???) so we had to make to with the whirlpool tub in our suite, but it took a lifetime to fill.
After closing down the park, we were driving abck to the hotel (about 10:30PM). My husband needed Rolaids, Tums etc. I called the front desk from my cell and asked the fellow to check the "Suite Shop" for such medications. He did and reported that they had "a generic stomach relief" in the shop. When we got back to the hotel, they had none. I still don't have any idea what the guy was looking at, but they had nothing. So my husband had to go back out to get some. Pretty iritating.

My uncle is in the ICU at CMC, and we stay at this hotel and I give it six stars. It has a shuttle that carried us where we needed to go, had a great staff, the rooms were very nice . My aunt is a diabetic and they even had a refrigerator sent up to our room. I would most diffently stay there again , it was well worth it..

I stopped here on my way up to VIrginia with my wife and kids and the following morning, we left for breakfast and before we left i told my wife not to forget to put on her 18K gold hand made Peruvian bracelet (worth $3000) and of course she forgot. When we realized at the diner we were at, I called the hotel to advise them and that we aere on the way back. When we got there there was no bracelet. Head of housekeeping gave her story about never entering the room, but then quickly changed her story when we asked to see the history of people whom entered our room using the electronic key. the hotel never let us see it and their insurance company which was going to help us out took the hotels word for everything instead of conducting a legit investigation. Stay away from these crooks!
