“Worst Hampton EVER. Worst HOTEL ever. Theives on staff.”
I stayed at this Hampton in December and had my tablet computer stolen, most
probably by the breakfast chef, as most investigations have been completed. The
shuttle driver was the most rude and lazy person one could ever meet. i had to
load and unload my own luggage and as he drove me to the airport, and had
islamic talk or news radio on and refused to turn it off.
I left my tablet computer in the breakfast area for all of 10 minutes and it was
stolen. Anyone that turned it on and wanted to return it easily could as the
main screen clearly stated "Reward if Returned" and all my contact information.
No other employee or myself saw another guest in the breakfast area although the
chef claims to have taken orders and served four people who left with my
computer. The front desk person didn't see them in the lobby or breakfast area
and no one else saw them. only the chef that suggested they took my computer.
The general manager responds to negative posts here to make
people think he does something about bad experiences in his hotel. He is a
complete liar and does not honor his 100% satisfaction guarantee unless you use a
credit card and cancel the charges yourself. i paid cash, was certainly
unsatisfied and I was not issued a refund and was called racist names by the GM,
who has never even met me. My computer was only 10 days old and purchased with
Visa so it is being replaced. the Charlotte mecklenberg Police Department in
still investigating the employees of this hotel, but since I made such a case
about it, doubt they will ever find the original computer although it has been
placed in a national database.
The owner of this hotel is no better than his general manager. He refused to
give me his name, did nothing about the situation at his hotel, and lied about
receiving emails from me, then quoted things only said in those emails.
I have written to several people at Hilton.com, the email for Hilton Worldwide
employees, and not a single one has addressed this issue or the horrid
conditions at this hotel in their chain, albeit privately owned by an owner who
feels the need to remain anonymous.
I have logged a few million miles and a few years worth of nights in hotels. i
would not normally even write a review because most places I stay are smaller
boutique places that I never want to see get crowded. Staying at a major chain
hotel and having the experience I did in Charlotte was my inspiration for
signing up here. Being stuck in Charlotte for an unexpected overnight layover,
I only needed a place to sleep, a shower and a ride to the airport. this
Hampton couldn't even get that much right and their employees are thieves that
is supported by management instead of investigated by them.
You can believe the responses from the GM if you want and take your
chances staying here, but don't say you weren't warned. No one at this hotel
cares about your comfort, convenience or security and it is blatantly obvious by
the way they handle any complaints you have.
