This is the third Hyatt Place I have tried, the other two being Nashville and Indianapolis, both airport properties and both great, very clean. This hotel in Charlotte, the one on South Stream blvd was quite the disappointment after having great experiences at the other two Hyatt Place properties.

The problem was with the condition of the guestrooms, we tried two different rooms and both had problems that made me feel like I was staying in a gross room.

The first room we walked into smelled like someone with really awful B.O. had been staying there for like weeks, even my husband who doesn't usually notice any smells said the room was smelly. I immediately called the front desk to tell them the room stinks, they sent someone right up with a key to a different room, so that was nice customer service, but then the second room we go to also has problems.

The second room had every door cabinet and drawer in open position, like someone was maybe just cleaning it and hadn't finished or something, the sofabed was half opened, this room was definitely not left in normal condition for a guest to check into. There also was a large stain on the carpet right by the vanity sink area where you would stand when using the sink. Since the beds were made and there was no trash in the room and the bathroom seemed to have been cleaned we stayed in this room without even saying anything, I mean how many times are you going to move your stuff around the hotel searching for a clean room when you've been in the car all day!! Obviously I will not stay in this hotel again, was this a fluke of their housekeeping on this one day, how do I know, I just know I won't stay with them again and actually will be hesitant to book a Hyatt Place again.
