I had no problems here and did not find it scary or dated. The room I had was clean and offered everything I needed. It was quiet and the front desk staff and driver were awesome...very outgoing and friendly with an attitude to please. It is right down the road from the airport and across the street there are plenty of places to eat and a grocery store. The breakfast does need some help or may be I waited too long and to good stuff was gone. However, breakfast is not that important to me. I would stay here again

Supposedly an airport hotel, but it is the next (sketchy) exit down. Hotel is hidden behind Shoneys and is NOT what you expect to see when you see this hotel chain. This hotel is very old and gives you the creeps. Front desk staff was very nice and aimed to please, but room is gross. Pink something stains on walls, carpet has mysterious stains, tile floor in bathroom was dirty, dust on baseboards was gross. The beds were in good condition and were the best part of the hotel. TV was small and very old. Fitness room treadmill is a lawsuit waiting to happen. One time, it speeded up so fast, that it almost threw me off. Then I turned it off and tried it again and after another few minutes, the belt slipped and I grabbed the handles to keep from falling. TV in the fitness room had no remote. Asked for one and was told that there wasn't one, just reach under the bottom of the tv to make it work...The breakfast room is large and clean, but all the food was cold. There is a sign on the areas where hot food is supposed to be served that says "hot food coming January 2012" Final note, if you don't get one of the 10 or 12 parking spots in the front of the hotel, park at Shoneys is better than parking in the scary back of the hotel.

I stayed at the Country Inn and Suites at the Charlotte Airport on Nov.18, 2011. I have to
admit I was very nervous about staying there after reading so many bad reviews. The
hotel is an older but was very clean. The room was just fine. Bathroom was a little
small but very clean. Location was very easy to find. Very close to Charlotte airport...about
4or 5 minutes. The breakfast I felt was good for free....eggs, sausage biscuits, french toast,
waffles,pastries,cereal and oatmeal. And the cookies in the lobby with coffee 24 hours a
day was a nice touch. The neighborhood is not as bad as many people said. I am a single female and never felt threatened whle walking across the street or over to Arby's for a
quick bite. Front desk girls were very kind and helpful with directions. I would not hestitate
to stay at this property again.

Very disaapointed with the front desk staff and the continental breakfast. Extremely poor breakfast, poor start for the day. The rooms/corridors were all good, no complaints. Toiletries were placed just for one person instead of a family stay so had to request for more which took its own time. Not worth the price for family stay.
