Stayed here when a flight was canceled... Hair in bathtub. hair on sheets, towels stained with yellow spots, loud cars driving around the parking lot all night, zero sleep. Put your $35 towards a cleaner hotel, worth paying more to not stay here.

I have stayed here 4 weeks on business. Every time I have found hair on the towels in the bathroom or on my pillow. They do have wireless internet, but it is TERRIBLE. If you are traveling on business and need to get some work done online, don't expect to get any work done in your hotel room.

This was the worse place I have ever stayed in my life! You have to pay for house keeping, after we asked for house keeping we still never got it, they would not replace any of our towels or sheets, they said they had a pool and hot tub and they dont, you have to pay for internet service, our hotel room was not that clean when we got there either, and the customer service all around was terrible! I will never stay at another homestead hotel ever again!

We were referred by Carolinas Medical Center Hospital, downtown main location, to Homestead Suites as a possible discount hotel in the area. It was perfect. The room was small but adequate, with full small kitchen (fridge, stove, pots/pans, plates, etc.). The rate was $35/night plus tax for patients at the hospital (ended up being $40 plus change). My heart had open heart surgery and we needed two nights - one with her before the surgery, since we were coming from out of town, and one for me the first night after her surgery while she was still in recovery. The hotel is about ten minutes from the hospital, with no traffic. The staff was fabulous - super helpful and considerate of the circumstances. Everyone was familiar with the arrangement with the hospital, for the discount rate and special, considerate treatment of guests. We highly recommend this as a very reasonable place to stay in a difficult time such as this. Also, the location was very quiet, on a back street, and seemed very secure and safe. Plus, it was only a few blocks from I-77 - just far enough away not to hear it.
