“Paper thin walls, but clean”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

Nice hotel, very clean. My room was set up oddly. The TV didn't face the bed. The kitchenette was nice, although I didn't use it. My toilet kept running every 20 minutes and since I didn't arrive until after 5pm there was no maintenance staff still at work to repair it. They offered to move me, but I stayed put and just closed the bathroom door, so I wouldn't have to hear it. Not a big deal, just a small annoyance. The reason I wouldn't stay here again is because the walls are paper thin. I could clearly hear the conversation in the room next to me and they were not talking loud. I was not even in a connecting room. I value quiet time on business trips and this is a deal-breaker for me.

“Quiet Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 November 2011

My fiancee and I stayed here for three nights over Thanksgiving. There are two separate buildings separated by the parking lot. The main building has the breakfast area, front desk, workout room, breakfast area and ice machine. So if you want to use any of these and are in the other building you have to go out and walk outside to get to them. We had a studio room which had a queen bed, a sitting area, a kitchenette and the bathroom. The room was clean but the TV was awkward on this table and you had to try and swivel it to watch TV in bed. My Mom and Uncle stayed in a two room suite which had separate bedrooms, living room, kitchenette but shared one bath. But each bedroom had it's own TV as well as one in the living room. Great set up for a family. Both kitchens had a small full oven with 4 burners as well as a nice refrigerator. Dishes and a few pots and pans were provided and there was a dishwasher too. My only complaint on my room was there only one mirror in the bathroom. The bathroom was all inclusive (toilet, shower and sink) so there was no place for me to do my hair (dryer mounted on bathroom wall) and makeup while my boyfriend took his shower. I was lucky and was able to run next door to my Mom's room. They had mirrors in each of their bedrooms besides the bathroom mirror. The breakfast area was another story. It was SO SMALL. There were only 3 tables with one connected bench seat on one side and one chair opposite the table. The selections were good (cereal, break, juices, coffee, hard boil egg and oatmeal) but the room was so small and congested we ate there only once and decided to go out and eat on the other mornings. Very disappointing. There are no restaurants within walking distance so a car is a must -- then it is a short drive to several restaurants, fast food and grocery stores. Pets are allowed but I think they charge a fee.

Room Tip: The two bedroom suite is great for families but only one bathroom.

“You get what you pay for!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2011

In spite of the fact that the location was close to our grandchildren, this place is not a do-over. It is in need of refurbishing, from a mattress that sags in the middle to a clunky old TV that sits on a table that's in the way of getting in and out of bed, and positioned in such a way that you can't watch it from the bed. The couch is crummy, and the place has a musty odor. There is Internet via ethernet, but I had to have the desk clerk come to our room to help me sign on. The desk staff is very helpful and pleasant, the one redeeming factor.

“Decent place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

Its by no means fantastic, but a good place for a short stay. I stayed for a few days in TownePlace in September in a double room with a colleague. The double room consists of two bedrooms with a small living room, kitchenette and shared bathroom. The kitchenette has all the basic facilities well supplied with utensils and cutlery.

I agree with the reviews that the property seems a little old (old fashioned as well) but its clean and well maintained. In short, I would recommend this place for people who are looking for a simple place without frills.

If there are any improvements to be suggested I would say that a double room should have at least two LAN cables. Managing with one is a little difficult. Also, an LCD/LED TV would be desirable in today's time (To be fair, the front desk did say that they are going to bring these changes by next year).

“NEVER AGAIN”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 August 2011

This place looks nice in the pictures, but I assure you it is not. It is dirty and scummy on the outside. The interiors seem ok at first glance, but you can tell that there are major repairs that need to be done. Patched walls and knicked doors abound. The elevator takes forever. The carpet is old and musty, I itched just sitting in the room. Also the plumbing in the bathroom was ill fitting and look as if it should not be exposed. I am so disappointed, but grateful it was only one night.

Room Tip: none - do not book here
