“Comfortable, retro and close to shopping!”

Have stayed at the property a few times! Very impressed by Tez at the front desk. Property offers a nice location for restaurants and shopping within a few miles. Workout area is small but have state of the art equipment. Indoor pool very clean and well maintained.

Our rooms were suites and contained microwave, frig, sink, 2 TV and sofa,chair...

Would highly recommend staying at this property.

“Should have been 5 stars”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

This is an excellent facility in a nice location, close to several restaurants, shopping and the expressway. Our room was spotless and the staff was very friendly. If I am in the area in the future, I would be happy to spend the night here again. However...

When we checked in, we were asked if we would like to have breakfast in the morning. Normal cost is $10, but if you prepay the night before it is only $5 per person. My wife and I had already made other plans for breakfast, so we declined.

Two days later a charge for $10 appeared on my credit card. I thought perhaps I had been charged for using the internet or some other item. However, in the event that it was an error, I wanted to clear up the matter. I called the hotel and spoke with Tez. He said that the charge was for our breakfast. I explained to him that we had not eaten breakfast and he said that he would turn the matter over to his GM and that she would call me back on Monday. (I had called on Thursday). She did not call.

Two weeks later (after the holiday) I called again, and again spoke to Tez. He said the matter had been passed to their corporate office and that his GM was waiting to hear back. He said he would call me within a couple of days. When he did, he said that their records showed that only one of us had eaten breakfast, so the company would be refunding $5. I explained (again) that neither of us had eaten breakfast and that we had been together the entire morning. He said that he would relay that information to the corporate office and get back in touch with me.

Two days later he called, extending both his apologies and those of his general manager (who never did make that promised phone call) and said that the corporate office had authorized our $10 refund.

Granted, it was only $10 and Tez followed up persistently (once I made the second phone call) and in the long run we got our money back. However, the prepay charge should have never been made in the first place since I declined breakfast, the GM should have called even if to say that corporate was looking into it and the whole thing should have been cleared up in two days, not three weeks.

“Good Hotel”

I have stayed in this hotel several times over the last 5 years & I always get a friendly welcome. The breakfast is good & so is the service. The food in the restaurant is good in the evening, but there is the Carolina Ale house just a short walk away as well.

Nice and quiet location. Good value.

“ThankYou!”

I would like to thank the staff of the Holiday Inn & Suites for their excellent customer service. I work at NC State University, College of Textiles, and we have this property as one of our preferred hotels. Hillary Berkowitz was my first contact there and because of her professionalism and outstanding customer service this property is among our favorites. Tez who works at the front desk also provides excellent service. You can see his smile when he answers the phone and his willingness to provide service. Thank you for being such a wonderful property!

My stay was pleasant... Everyone were so friendly, and helpful... I enjoyed the shopping there, and then the crossroad 20 movie was walking distance, behind the hotel.... I then experienced the hot tub very relaxing... Check out was so uplifting... I was farewell with a beautiful smile from Luz, and Tez offered to take my luggage due to the shopping from the night before... Thanks for going the extra Mile... I will return back to this location!!!
