“Comfortable, clean, and convenient stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 August 2011

I was in the area for an event at Koka Booth Amphitheatre near Regency Park. Some friends and I decided to stay over to avoid driving after the event. We were surprised and delighted with how clean and comfortable our rooms were, and priced at a bargain. While I was not staying for business purposes, I would definitely pick this location for accommodations again if the opportunity came up. If I could stay like this everywhere I travelled for work, I would enjoy travel all the more: clean, well-designed room, incredibly comfortable bed, friendly and helpful front desk. Before this, I cannot remember a sound and comfortable night's rest in a chain hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel and wish I could always stay at one.

Stayed here for 5 days for a softball tournament. The hotel is located in a convenient area lots of things to do. The hotel service and staff were fine but rooms and common areas need an upgrade

“Do NOT book it!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 July 2011

Ok, the pictures look great and it sounds ok. The truth is the staff questionable and not really caring what you deal with on your visit. The one little lady that works later and early evening is not worth the cash paid. The look you get from her and they do not care is enough to make you walk.

The rooms are so dated and never enough blankets, towels are old thin — a joke, the dishes are from a garage sale so small you need all your items from home. GRILLS a BIG FAT JOKE! The owners and MANAGEMENT KNOW THEY DO NOT WORK!! Hearing it took over four hours to cook a hot dog give you an idea. Many other people have complained about this issue and nothing was done. They do not care the GUEST footing a bill over 100 enjoy the stay at the hotel. You will love this one the dish washer scares your Kids!! Loud and old dial knobs this is so out dated it's not funny anymore just a very sad place to be.

For the cost of the room per night they can afford a few new things each year. BUSINESS EXPENSES FOLKS! This is a business making over 100.00 per night and they cannot have things working. The smell in the room at check in was enough to make this person want to turn and walk. The young lady stated we would not find another hotel in the area because of an event. Kind like a ha,ha,ha. Oh, you will pay more for the one night stay if you change your mind. We have a Two year old on this trip and try to drive over 6-8 hrs and needing to stop for the night. My husband looked at me and stated we will make it work. I have not been happy since day one and they do not shock me.

The hotel is in the most upper class areas in NC and this is what your stuck with from the hotel industry. CRAP! The TV channels also SUCK for kids they have nothing! Many sports or two Indian channels that is the Big choice you have and lets talk about computers being plugged in like in 1990!! No Joke people if you think you can relax any where in this place and get on line not going to happen.
The sitting area outside by the pool had broken glass and was poorly cleaned by someone. The pool items are broken or worn to the point of classifying for a trash can. The maintenance guy walked in without even knocking. I had issue with the hair dryer and iron leaking so look out ladies. I find it hard to believe the staff does not clean up areas or walk around to make sure guest are happy. To move from behind the front desk is scary for them I think. Not sure why they do not up date many areas of this hotel and the Marriott does not use some cash to do these things. I hate to have so many negatives on one place but, traveling with a child makes you see things and you're not willing to brush it aside!! I am and will never do this again. Please understand if your alone and do not care about this stay. If you do care about your dollar giving you the best bang for the buck try another hotel without a kitchen-funny-services you're paying to have to make your life easy and a home feel you will not get at the Residence Inn Marriott!!

I cannot warn you enough to not stay at this place in CARY NC. They should be a shamed and CARY should be saddened that our first impression is not I would like to stay; it is get me out of here or out of the hotel until I have too be back. I am waiting to leave and will never tell an enemy/friend to visit this hotel. This was not a priceless moment for me!! Sad to waste money on this place and hurts my heart. This was to be a wonderful Vacation for my family and visiting family has turned into a money sucker to stay away from the hotel. The place that should have made our visit the Best!

Your Choice in the end and if you're not worried about clean, updated, plugging into use your computer, tv channels that suck, grills that are old and do not work, very out dated hotel this is your baby!!

“Good Hotel Choice for Cary”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 July 2011

Stayed here for 3 nights over a weekend and had no complaints and the rooms were good value, esp the 2 bedroom suites if you needed them. It is a good option for a longer term stay with a self-serve laundry, good parking, quiet rooms and so forth. Free internet was a bonus. The young girl working the afternoons on the 8-10th was a pleasure to deal with and promptly dealt with any requests. Would return here.

“A great place for a long term stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 June 2011

We relocated to the area recently and have been staying at this hotel for over a month with another 2 weeks to go. We really have been very impressed with the staff and service. One of us works from home so the free internet, free breakfast, evening social / snack time etc has been great to meet other folks. The hotel feels more like home with a great patio (wireless works here too), pool, free access to an awesome Gym 2 min walk away..what more do you need. A great place for a long term stay!
