We travel a fair amount, so I try to keep in mind that I am probably getting pickier as I see more hotels.
Comfort Suites is located conveniently behind Wake Med Cary (Hospital) in an industrial/medical park. You are adjacent to the highway. Upon arrival the staff didn't greet us despite us being the only people in the lobby area (with all our stuff). That, for me at least, is basic customer service 101.
The hotel in general - pool is small but indoors (a bonus). It was a little cool. The hot tub was disgusting (and my standards aren't all that high). We went down to the pool the first night, but never went back. The elevator smelled so badly of fresh vomit that we had to hold our breath the six floors we were traveling.
There was a free breakfast, which we did not try because we had to be up too early.
The room in particular - bed was quite firm, not uncomfortable but not amazing. Television options were fine - room was nice really, with a faux arch separation with a tiny kitchenette (microwave, tiny refrigerator, sink) and pull-out couch. Bathtub was very small with minimal water pressure. Everything was definitely clean in the room.
Always back to the important question: will we stay there again? Despite the reasonable cost, we have decided that we will not stay at this particular hotel again.
