Stayed in Cary, NC in November 2011 in a Queen suite. The hotel has a nice homey feel to it. The rooms are large and have a seperate kitchen and living room, which is always a bonus. The gym, although small, had a couple of treadmills, with TVs, and some free weights. The equipment was nicely maintained and seemed fairy new. Hubby jumped in the hottub and gave it an "ok" (could have bee hotter). Breakfast met our needs just fine. My favorite breakfast food is potatoes, but they only had that one of the two days were were there. Not dissing the hotel here, they like to change things up... I get that. Included breakfast is always a nice perk.
We attended an event in one of the ballrooms and had a great time. The food was good and the staff excellent. In fact, the staff was excellent our entire stay.
The hotel was clean and the surrounding grounds were nice... went for a walk and enjoyed the scenery.
Two things I was not a huge fan of were the bouncy bed and the shower. The bed was too springy for me (but that's a personal preference) and the shower was not tiled. Rather, it was the white plasticy shower insert. Not a huge deal, it was clean and did the job and that's all that counts.
All in all, this was a strong mid-range hotel in my opinion. The value was outstanding. I would stay there again if in town.
