if you like small, friendly, family run motels then this is a place you will appreciate. We stayed there Christmas thru New Years Day. It was very clean with all non smoking rooms. My only objection is they allow smokers to sit outside on the balcony. I would banish them completely. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. I especially enjoyed the patriarch of the family, Brother Hal. He is such a great source of knowledge and information about Carolina Beach. Excellent ocean access. There are some full ocean view rooms, but our side view room was very nice. This is an ideal place to walk to downtown, restaurants, and beach shopping. City inspector of Carolina Beach posted a cleanliness rating of 100 (A).

Called early in the last week of July, wanted to get away with the wife for a couple of days, was given the rate....compared to other places to stay near everything like this hotel is, the rates were not bad at all. Was told about check in time, no problem...I understood and found no reason to argue. Got in town early, paid the meter (s) near the boardwalk, went to BRITTS for a dozen WOW O WOW, need I say more. Found the aquarium and Fort Fisher area enough to keep us busy until check in time. Check in went smoothly, hate the parking, but thats about all I could find to say anything bad about. Clean room, well furnished...remember folks I did not book at the Hilton, I got what I paid for and will be back again. The location alone is a gas saver. Go stay enjoy.

Clean, but older motel. Sweet, Christain family owned. Cannot see beach from lower floor due to dunes, but that was OK for our stay, our room faced the pool. Close walk to Boardwalk. Got what we paid for in the area for a last minute on Easter weekend. It worked for us.

I recently visited the port city area, I wanted to explore the beautiful beaches as well as the historic wilmington area. I call visited a few hotels prior to choosing one for my one week stay. I chose the Savannah Inn because of the awesome location!!! The room had an awesome view of the ocean . The room was so pleasant and clean, I would recommend the Savannah Inn to family and friends. I search a long time for a nice facility, and finally found a treasure. My trip to eastern carolina was made special based on the accommodations at the Savannah Inn!!! :)
