The Oceaneer Motel was a very good motel. I loved the location! I walked out my door and could walk straight to the beach. It was close to all the attractions. The room was neat and clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. The pool was nice, but we stayed on the beach most of the time. The mattress and sheets were clean. It is a small motel nothing fancy, but I would recommend this motel to anyone. We had a light bulb out and within two minutes it was fixed. To me it was perfect. This was my little girl's first time to the beach and my first time to Carolina Beach and we had a great time. The next time we are down that way we are staying at the Oceaneer.

We stayed Labor day weekend and it was perfict, the weather and the our choice of motel. The Oceaneer Motel is the perfict place to stay, if you want to be close to the oceanfront. It is great for a family with children, or just a couple looking for a great getaway. The service was good, they even gave us change for the ice machine, and gave us extra pillows when we asked. The office staff are nice and friendly, and I was always greeted with a smile. They offer discounts when you stay 2 or more nights. They have a great pool for swimming, and it was clean! We have stayed a couple of other times and were always glade we did, and we will be repeat visitors. We are looking forward for a weekend in October, a great time for fishing, and they are not to far from the pier. A major plus this trip was that we booked our room in advance and were given a room on the second floor, my husbands misstake, because our oldest son is Autistic and has trouble with stairs, when we checked in they had a room on the bottom floor, and they gladly gave us it. They were really nice about it. I would recamend them to all my friends and anyone that would ask.

My family and I just returned from a week at the Oceaneer. Absolutely wonderful vacation! The Oceaneer is older and simpler and plain, but clean, quiet, great staff and great location. The apartment room had two average double beds, a separate full kitchen, average bathroom, good ac, trouble free wi-fi and an old tv, but hey you're at the beach so the tv was fine for falling to sleep to. The motel is on the beach and the beach was beautiful. Wide sand, 4 foot waves and warm water. The motel pool was clean and warm. The Carolina Beach community is also wonderful. It is like a small Nags Head. Good restaurants, entertainment, and every person we met was extremely nice. The nearby Wilmington area has a lot to do. This was our first visit and we will definitely go back. No problems, complaints or troubles. A really pleasant surprise and great value.

If you are looking for an affordable, family oriented motel to relax at the beach for a couple of days- this would be a good choice. Right on the beach & a pool if the kids prefer. And not a lot of "teenage/young adult" revelry to put up with. This place is "American" run and the people are super friendly and super helpful!!
