“Clean, No Frills Motel in a Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 February 2011

We stayed in room #16 at the SeaWitch from February 25 - 27, 2011. Our room consisted of a full-sized bed, bedside table, a desk, and a cabinet with a fridge built into it and a microwave on top. There was a small recessed space next to the door that served as a closet. The bathroom had a small shower, sink and toilet. There was a full-sized mirror in the bathroom, but no counter space.

The room itself was small but very clean. You could see recent vacuum marks, and the room smelled nice, like some kind of cleaner. The fridge and microwave were both spotless, and looked brand new.

The pool looked very well-maintained, although it was too chilly for swimming. The location is great, especially if you are planning on hitting any of the local bars. Everything is within walking distance. The SeaWitch Cafe across the street has great food. The Dive and the Fat Pelican are both great bars to hang out for a few beers.

If you are planning on hitting the beach and not spending a lot of time at your hotel, then I would definitely recommend the SeaWitch. All we wanted was somewhere to put our stuff, shower and sleep that was clean. The SeaWitch delivered that at a great price.

The hotel only had a few guests when we were there, and I imagine that during the high season it probably gets loud in that area. It's not a dealbreaker; just something to be aware of. But even knowing that we will definitely be staying at the SeaWitch again.

VERY clean, the owners (twin sisters) were there on site. Very friendly and helpful offering breakfast suggestions. All new beds (comfortable) were bought in May 2010. Quaint little place and very reasonable rates. LOVED IT!!

“Very nice room and a great location.”

His was a huge relief after the place we had to stay the first night! My room had a window that faced the ocean. The hotels sits perpendicular to the beach, so the balcony had a view of the ocean, the pool, or the main street where all the people pass by. It's a shared balcony, so not great for romantics, but a good way to meet others.

The room itself was very nice, large, clean, and had a kitchen like area where you could sit at a dining table. There was a microwave, fridge, and nice modern cabinets. Only drawback was the light from the balcony shinning through the window at night. Not a big deal but it was pretty bright. The hotel staff were very nice and accommodating. The pool was nice and clean.

The location is excellent. Right on the beach and an easy walk to the boardwalk area as well as several nearby restaurants and convenience stores.

“A GREAT get away place!”

Took our chances when we couldn't find any vacancies online and came across the Sea Witch. It was simple but very clean. It suited our needs perfectly. Loved the convinence to the beach and the Board Walk. Our meal at the cafe' was excellent. The four adults each ordered something different on the menu and then we divided our meal into 4. Everyone got to sample each of the meals ordered. I couldn't pick a favorite! They were all wonderful. I hope that we will be able to there once again if I ever get a chance to go back to Carolina Beach.
