I visited with my husband and a 5 year old daughter. The check in was very smooth and we were given M1 unit (1 bedroom house) for $110+ tax on Aug 5th. The 1st look at the condo looked shabby from outside but i guess i visited at night and it looked isolated but when i opened the condo I was impressed with the cleanliness and space of the 1 bedroom motel which had all amenities like dishwasher, oven, microwave and Full size washer and dryer. But you need to carry your own cleaning suppplies like dishwasher liquid, laundry liquid as you cant purchase from their office. In this motel room everything was just too good for the price. It has central AC but be prepared for Mosquitos outside the bedroom. You must carry a mosquito spay when planning for outer banks vaccation. Also an itch cream along with your sunscreen. I guess this is the ideal place to stay in the place without hurting too much on your pocket as compared to others in the area. This room was approx 1 mile from motel office and beach and i dont think 1 mile from beach iwas a problem with me for the kind of room we got. This room was just 10 steps away from grocerry store and every amenity is easily available and shops are open till 9.pm. The next day we left that room as we had to change the room with them due to heavy season. We moved to the main motel room No 102. We were told that check in time was 3.pm but we were given a call at 11.30 am telling that the room was ready for check in before time. I was impressed. We moved in to this room and the price paid was $155+tax. The price was highre and the space was less as this is the efficency unit with no in room laundry. It was like a studio apartment still not bad. In fact it was good as it has all amenities except laundry and all GE appliances (new). The room was clean and tidy. This was pool facing and from the balcony I could see the beach. Its 3-5 steps walk to beach. I was happy about the location. The only minus point here was bed sheets and towels. The sheets on the other bed in the room were stained and the bedspread was somewhat tattered. The towels were old, probably could spend some money on newer towels & bedding. Their pool is open till 9.30pm which was good and the best part is that pool's temperature was warm. It was very comfortable. There is a grill shop right opposite to this motel which serves delicious food and u must try the food there. We loved it but unfortunately mornings were busy and we could not get it.
