I went to Clear Creek at the end of September. The facilities were really lovely and very, very clean and spacious. The common areas were decorated with "classy rustic" including a large living room with fireplace (with a fire built at night), a cantina with well stocked bar on the honor system and a large, beautiful deck. The buildings all had wonderful covered porches with large, sturdy rocking chairs. I didn't use the pool, but did use the hot tub that was in a very nice secluded area but still in a central location.
The horses were really nice. I've been to a few dude ranches and I have to say, the horses at Clear Creek were taken care of well and were responsive. The riding started out a little slow for anyone with riding experience, but by the end of the week we did some team penning which was a blast.
The food was good, but there was no choice, so if you didn't like/or couldn't eat something on the menu, you might have a tough time. I felt like meals were a little rushed at times. That is really the only thing I would not rate with 5 stars.
Everyone from the owners to the ladies who took care of housekeeping were wonderful! What a friendly group of folk who seemed to love working at the ranch. I would highly recommend Clear Creek to anyone looking for a great guest ranch in the east. I'd like to return in the future!
