The lobby gives a great first impression, but the rooms are gross. The room furniture was ancient, bulky and out-dated. The bed was about a foot away from the TV and you had to be laying on your side (or get a crick in your neck looking to the side) in order to see the TV from the bed...and you couldn't really see the TV from any where else in the room.
We had a room with a balcony...the balcony over-looked the Interstate. The balcony was too narrow for any furniture or to sit on, but there was plenty of room for the styrofoam bowl that contained water and 5 cigarette butts from a previous guest. Gross!
The carpet in the rooms was old, dirty, and felt gross. I was afraid to walk barefoot on it.
The Internet connection was super spotty, and I couldn't get an Internet connection to stick more than a minute or so. The Internet kept dropping off....over and over and over again.
The bathroom layout is super awkward and VERY tiny. The door to the shower/toilet opens inward which makes exiting difficult.
The front desk staff was very sweet, but the out-dated room decor, not very clean room, spotty Internet connection, and NO free breakfast means I will be looking for other options (too bad as I'm pretty loyal to the Marriott brand and have to stay in Burlington, NC one night every week for the next four months). But I just can't stomach the ugly.
