“Upgrades are a great improvement”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 August 2011

We stay here at least twice each year to visit our daughter at college. In the past it was just another bland hotel. Now, the new lobby design is bright with lots of seating areas. They have a good menu of items available all day and Starbucks coffees. The pool area has new furniture with comfortable lounge chairs. The rooms are always clean and well maintained.
We will look forward to our next visit here!

“Worth every penny! A fine place to stay.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 August 2011

We were very pleased with the accommodations. This hotel has been recently renovated and everything was fresh and clean. We really appreciated the military discount we received. The staff is very friendly and anxious to be of help.

The location is convenient to shopping and the Interstate highway. We highly recommend it to anyone. The only drawback is "no free breakfast".

“Super-friendly...”

We could not have been more pleased with our two nights here. We've never stayed in a Marriott before, so our frame-of-reference for this type of hotel is limited. We tend to vacation at Four Seasons/Ritz Carlton resorts. I only mention this because I was expecting that the Courtyard wouldn't come close to providing the level of service we find at these other hotels. I was (most happily) wrong.

We checked in at (close to) midnight by a most friendly young man. We were hot and exhausted. And all we wanted was a cool room and cushy bed. We got both -- and then some. Our room overlooked the pool and was exceedingly quiet. I find that most hotel rooms -- even the finest in the world -- do not cool to a temperature that's comfortable for me. I like my rooms cold. Not a problem here. We were able to crank-up the AC and the temp. went down to a sweet 64-degrees.

Free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. Three flat screen computer terminals in the lobby, The lobby is fantastic. Lots of books. Modern new furniture. Huge flat screen TV. Plenty of room to lounge.

The pool area is wonderful. Comfy and big chairs and tables for eating lunch and gathering with friends/family. The area was spotless.

Every member of the staff was so friendly and so accommodating of every request.

The Marriott Courtyard is not the St. Regis or the Four Seasons. It doesn't pretend to be. But it is a gem. I give it my highest recommendation.

“Good for college visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2011

Recently stayed here while visiting several colleges in the area. It is conveniently located and close to several restaurants. Typical mid-level chain motel and there were no surprises. Very comfortable beds. I wish these Marriott chains would provide continental breakfast, like Hampton or Comfort Inns do.

“Pretty Good!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 July 2011

Stayed here a few times - they Just redid the lobby in May or early June 2011 - Best tip is to make sure you do not stay on the Road side but get a view of of the pool and the woods - All rooms on the road are even or odd - i am sure the front desk will know. The Interstate side is really load - I have stayed on both sides and its worth a call that morning of check in to request a woods side room for a good sleep that night. Great hotel - nice pool and indoor Hottub - will stay again! Go Elon!
