“We Loved It There!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 November 2010

My husband and I truly love going to different B&Bs when we travel. This year we had the good fortune to choose the Folkstone Inn. The surroundings were beautiful. Our room was spacious and well-appointed. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and the hosts were extremely accomodating. The breakfasts were yummy and suited the season well. We hope to make a return trip in the near future!

“Fabulous Getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2010

We stayed here for a couple of days in the summer. It's within walking distance of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park with waterfalls, hiking trails, and minutes from many high adventure sports. It has a charming, provincial setting with pleasant farm-house rooms. The staff is cordial and the food is excellent! This spot is highly recommended for a one-night stay, a weekend getaway, or longer.

“A piece of Heaven in the mountains!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 August 2010

My husband and I spent our 28th Anniversary at the Folkestone. We had the most wonderful stay there. Upon arrival we were greeted so warmly and got a tour around and learned of the history of the beautiful Bed and Breakfast. When shown to our room "The Rod and Creels" We were so pleased. Loved it!!
It was the cleanest and neatest place we have ever stayed. The decor was so charming and had everything you could possibly need. We loved that there was no TV and you had wonderful quality time there!
The breakfasts were delicious. They do a fabulous job and we were so happy with everything served.
We are very anxious to go back and enjoy the charm and hospitality again.

“This B&B is almost heaven!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2010

Besides the wonderful breakfasts that holds you all day, sitting on the porch of this beautifully restored farmhouse harkens back to an era when the pace was so relaxing that people had time to be as gracious as the owners and staff of this charming Inn located next to the Great Smokey Mountains.

“Superb B & B Inn”

We stayed at the Folkestone Inn for 5 nights in June as a jump off point for hiking in the Great Smokey Mountains of North Carolina. the Inn is charming with unique classic rooms. We found the breakfasts to be outstanding. They made adjustments for our dietary restrictions and fed us till we nearly burst. It is not a place to go to lose weight. the quality, taste and presentation were all excellent. Steve the owner was most friendly and seemed willing to do anything to make our stay enjoyable. Each day he would show great interest in asking about our day and offering helpful suggestions. the views from our room were beautiful and at night we watched the fireflies glow from our balcony. The other guests were very friendly and we met some interesting people. Our focus on this trip and most of our trips is to experience the natural beauty and culture of the area by hiking, biking and other outdoor activities. Our lodging typically neither adds or take away from our experience. This place certainly added to our experience. It gave us a beautiful, welcoming place to return to each day. The experience far surpasses staying at a chain motel/hotel. There are no tvs which is fine with us . They did have internet which helped us keep in touch with family. I also appreciated having the use of a refrigerator to keep food cold. We highly recommend the Folkestone. They also are located less than a mile from a park entrance which was great for running and hiking.
