I stayed here while my son visited Appalachian State. I didn't expect it to be fancy since it's a learning hotel center, but I did expect it to be clean. It was not. One lampshade and the iron were broken and the curtain was torn and mildewed. Another lamp had a burned out bulb. There were cobwebs in the corners. The soapdish in the tub, the coffee pot and the tub were dirty. The eating area was dirty as well with many sticky surfaces. The survey from a previous occupant was left in the room, completed, with his name and address. I opted not to complete the form and run the same risk of having my contact info out there for the whole world to read. I emailed the director about my stay and got no response. I will not return and do not recommend the Broyhill Inn to anyone. Pictures are attached.
