“Looks much better on website than in reality.”

Very disappointed in my stay here. Bathtub was not cleaned during our 3 night stay. Had a ring of dirt in the tub the whole time. Breakfast offered was substandard. Very noisy due to street traffic and poor insulation. We could hear everything said in the office and every move of the people above us. Will not be staying here again. Very poor value for the area.

“Wonderful Thanksgiving Weekend”

My sister arranged for our family (7 adults and 2 children) to gather in Blowing Rock for the Thanksgiving weekend. After she told me where we were staying, I checked the reviews on TripAdvisor and I have to admit I was a bit concerned after reading other's comments. BUT, our group had a wonderful experience at the Ridgeway Inn. The staff was extremely nice and accomodating. Whatever we asked for was supplied promptly. The breakfast wasn't gourmet but very satisfying. Our rooms, of which we had 4, were great and looked to be recently redecorated. It's location is perfect for anyone who wants to park their car and explore Blowing Rock on foot. We definitely would stay there again. In all fairness to other's comments, I will admit the carpeting needs to be replaced. But that would be my only complaint.

We are so encouraged to find that despite the fraudulent reviews posted by a disruptive group, this traveler was able to look past those false claims and enjoy a 'Wonderful Thanksgiving Weekend'! We do value each of our guest's comments and act on their recommendations, and although the rooms are recently redecorated, we have began to replace the existing carpet with hardwood flooring. We look forward to seeing you soon!

The workers at the Inn did not give me a smile all weekend. Not a fan of rude people. Maybe next time I visit I will get some smiles.

Although we value all comments communicated by our guests, we are very discouraged to find that a group that's behavior was so disruptive and destructive to our property, resulting in local law enforcement to get involved, would post such outrageous comments. We would like to encourage any potential guest reading these comments to consider the other legitimate comments posted when making your travel plans.

“Not worth the money”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 November 2011

Recently I stayed at this well below average inn with some colleagues of mine. There were no bed skirts, the floors were covered in stains, and the room smelled of smoke. The first morning I awoke to "Julie" pounding on doors at 9 oclock in morning demanding that we leave because of some unrelated behavior of other guests in the motel. After throwing away all of the breakfast buffet she then proceeded to charge my credit card $100.00 for unexplained charges

“Great weekend”

Stayed at the Ridgeway Inn for a great weekend getaway. The weather was perfect and the Wauhonhasee Suite was wonderful providing an atmosphere of being in a cozy cabin in the mountains. The location of the Inn was within easy walking distance to the shops and places to eat and the front desk staff were very friendly and professional. We will stay there again.

Room Tip: For a couples trip, you won't be disappointed with the Wauhonhasee Suite
