“Our stay at Sweet Season could not have been better”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 July 2011

Claudia Clark was a great hostess for our MiataZ Touring Club....4 couples. The accomodations were clean, quaint and quiet, The property is beautiful. But....the breakfasts were the highlights. I have never had 2 such glorious breakfasts back-to-back. Claudia is a terrific cook.
We will choose Sweet Season for every return trip to Blowing Rock as long as Claudis will have us.

“We loved it and we'll be back!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 June 2011

Claudia is a gracious hostess and a wonderful cook. The breakfasts were yummy with lots of fresh fruit. The setting was just wonderful with a large yard surrounded by a creek and lovely trees. Just perfect for a relaxing nap or spot to read. The house was ideal for two couples with a great patio to have wine and cheese. Its a quiet spot away from the busier tourist area yet just a very short drive. I expect we'll be back each season for a cool spot in summer, fall colors and ski season.

“Amazing Place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 June 2011

We stumbled upon this bed & breakfast by accident. Thank goodness we did. Claudia is an amazing person with a true heart for others. The food was out of this world. The setting and atmosphere was lovely and relaxing. We are planning to return many times and making this our little getaway location. We have told many friends about this little piece of heaven. I can't say enough about how great we were treated and how much we enjoyed our stay. Thanks again Claudia for making our weekend getaway so pleasant and memoriable. George and I plan on coming to see you many more times! We will be referring many friends to you as well!
Thanks again!

“A restful and relaxing slice of Heaven; just beautiful!!”

Wow!!!! What a great, relaxing spot!! My wife and I have stayed at Sweet Season several times, but each time seems better than the last. This year we decided to celebrate our birthdays (four days apart in March) by spending two nights in Asheville at a four diamond B&B; then two nights at Sweet Season. We ended up spending THREE nights at Sweet Season, and would probably still be there if we didn't have responsibilities at home! Claudia has always pampered us, as she does all her guests. The rooms are all well thought out, and stocked with everything a person could want. Claudia makes THE BEST breakfast you'll ever have and serves it around a large table with all her guests in a very comfortable dining room. She has a great hot tub, several seating areas around the beautiful year-round creek, a fire pit, decking, and much more. Great restaurants, Bass Lake, and Chetola Lodge are within easy walking distance; as is the picturesque village of Blowing Rock! Sweet Season is a "must stay" if you want a great, relaxing visit to the mountains. Comfortable, restful, relaxing, beautiful, peaceful, well stocked, convenient, serene & spacious are all words I conjure up when thinking of Sweet Season. My wife and I can't wait for our next visit!!!

Room Tip: Each has a distinct flavor; all are near the creek

“A Rip Off”

The Garden Room was horrible. The wall between the bathroom and the kitchen did not even go all the way up to the ceiling and then there was no real door between the bedroom and the bathroom. There was a sign up that said, "Slave's Quarters" and in deed that is what it felt like. Claudia was plain rude. We were 10 minutes "late" for breakfast and she lectured us in front of the other guests about it and then said, "Well, I guess I'll make you something to eat." My husband and I travel to that area quite a bit and have never been more disappointed. We talk about it as the worse trip we've been on. Oh, and the room was cold, cold, cold. We could never get warm.
