I drove up to the B&B and my first words were "Wow, so elegant" This place is an awesome luxurious getaway! Sweeping views of the mountains, a gorgeous winery next door, and friendly staff made me plan my next vacation before we even left Banner Elk! The owner was friendly, knowledgable, and down to earth and allowed us to view other rooms available in the house since it was a slower weekend. The breakfast prepared by Chef Amos was top notch! Can'a wait to get back for some of that home made granola!

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Blueberry Villa. We could only get away for the night and Blueberry Villa offered us a nice romantic evening. The Villa is decorated beautifully and offers a very cozy elegant feel. Dede suggested Hearthstone Tavern and Grille for dinner and we thought the food there was delicious! We visited the Banner Elk Winery for our complimentary wine tasting and bought a bottle of their Cabernet which we thought was very good. In the morning we were served a delicious breakfast. The chef was fabulous and we in particular loved his brown sugar glazed bacon! In all we would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Our stay was wonderful ! Dick and Dede are very friendly and treat us like family, as if we were in their own home. Views are excellent and the property is beautiful ! A person almost feels as if they've traveled to another country. We would definately stay again.

When booking this B&B online for our trip on the Blue Ridge Parkway, we had high hopes, as the B&B looked really beautiful and it got good reviews.

When we arrived in the late afternoon, the place looked really nice from the outside. However, there was no-one to welcome us when we arrived, instead we were greated by a note on the door telling us the door was open and that we were in room x. What a disappointment compared to the other B&Bs we had stayed in during our trip, where we received warm welcomes from the owners.

The house was seperate from the owner's house by quite a long distance, and seemed to be a side-business from the wine making. The inside of the house (lounge, kitchen) was beautifully decorated and so was our room. While on the surface everything seemed clean, we found a lot of dust on the surfaces and hairs in the grimy bathtub.

The bed was very good and we slept well. Breakfast was served the next day and that tasted really well, the cook being a local farmer who also used some of his own produce.

Overall this B&B does have potential, but the owners really need to step up on the hospitality and cleanliness.

I would recommend it for the location etc, but with a warning for the issues above.
