We have just returned to the UK from Australia. We spent 4 days at the Sea Breeze resort. We had a very enjoyable stay here. As every other review has pointed out, this is a motel on a working naval base and not a 5* resort. Therefore, as long as you know what to expect, this place lives up to its expectations and we actually couldn't have asked for more. The room was large, comfortable, clean and fully equipped. The room was a little musty smelling but it was clean. I take the point about fish being left in the freezer, but it would have been useful to have a small facility in the room to store ice cubes, ice lollies and freezer packs to take with us to the beach. We did make use of the communal one at reception though. The swimming pool was fabulous and suited my children completely! We did use the bbq facility as well on the first evening. It is a great facility, although there are lots of very large ants crawling all over everything and there are flies everywhere when you are trying to cook - that's nature though! As everyone else has stated, the one thing that sets this place apart from others' is the staff themselves who are incredibly helpful and provided lots of information for us. We hired the snorkels, etc there which was very handy and very reasonable. All in all,a very good value for money motel.

Thank you for your very valid review and proper description. I think it is important as you say to set the correct expectation. When I arrived I saw the ants and sprayed them. Minutes later they were gone. I am sorry but our new Maintenance Man was not trained in Pest Control which we did immediately. The flies were pretty bad but only far about 2 weeks then they were gone! As Locuses, Flies and Mosquitoes, they seem to come in waves. Some Air cons has some corrosion in the tray which leads the condensed water outside and this corrosion blocked the outlet. We cleaned and fixed the trays and it is much better. I am not sure if we had our freezer next to the BBQ when you were visiting but we have one big chest freezer set up for people to store their frozen goods there. This has been welcomed as our guests can access their goods 24/7. Thank you for sharing your experience with other travelers and mentioning where we set ourselves apart from the rest.
I agree that we offer great value, service and local knowledge but one big thing too:
as we do not have a restaurant and bar, we want you to enjoy Ningaloo Reef and Cape Range National Park and our beautiful nature. Others like to keep you "in house" to consume in their restaurant and spend heaps at their bars.....
I think we offer what our guests need to have an unforgettable time.
Thanks again and please visit us again soon maybe to swim with the Whale Sharks from April to August!
Kind and sunny regards
Axel
