“A true gem in anacapri - perfect all around”

My husband and I planned to stay in Capri for one week during our honeymoon. For the first 3 nights we had booked La Tosca and I nearly cried when he wouldn’t let us refund our money so we had to stay there for the first three nights because it was so awful (fine if you are a backpacker – not at all suitable for honeymooners). Thank goodness we booked Casa Mariantonia for our last nights in Capri. I can’t even believe that this hotel worked out to be about the same price as La Tosca – the quality is infinitely better. This hotel is fantastic – it is quaint, charming, the breakfast is wonderful, the staff is great, it is in a beautiful location, the bedding and bathrooms are great it is just perfect. Anyone who says they do not like Capri has not stayed at Casa Mariantonia. From the hotel you can go for an amazing hike in the beautiful mountains, explore the shops and eat at fabulous restaurants. Anacapri is more laid back and not as pretentious as the main town in Capri. It is simply beautiful. People who visit Capri just for one day or a few hours are seriously missing out. This is one of the most beautiful islands in the world and if you stay in Casa Mariantonia you will agree.

“Brilliant In Every Way”

Me and my Girlfriend stayed at Mari Antonia in late July/Early August for four nights and had the most amazing time.

We pretty much fell in love with Capri and can't wait for our next visit!

We later stayed at the Caesar Augustus for three nights and the level of service at these two hotels is the best we have had in any hotel in the world (definitely in Europe).

The staff at Mariantonia were exceptinally friendly and helpfull. It is run by a family and it shows in the care and attention they give to each guest. Having Limoncello offered at the bar when returning to the Hotel every night was a very nice touch.

The rooms, and hotel, were immaculate and I can't really fault it in any way.

Top Marks!!!

“Brilliant hotel in perfect location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2011

My friend and I stayed here for about five nights and it was the most adorable and friendly hotel we have stayed at since living in Europe! The staff, mostly family, is sweet and accommodating. Their suggestions are spot-on, I would listen to those if you would like to not get ripped off on food prices! The lemon grove garden is refreshing and peaceful with a great view and hammocks. The location is perfect as it is so close to the local bus stop while being close to the city center of Anacapri. It's only a short ride down to the Marina or Capri but far enough away to avoid the masses of tourists. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering visiting Capri.

“A lemon-scented piece of paradise.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2011

We celebrated our 10 year anniversary on Capri in July of this year and stayed at Casa Mariantonia. It was a truly wonderful experience - from the location, to the room, to the al fresco breakfast.

I recently posted a more in-depth review about Casa Mariantonia on my blog if you want to read more.

“Stylish, boutique hotel in Anacapri”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2011

My wife and I stayed 2 nights at this small boutique hotel in mid October, as part of celebrating her 50th birthday. The hotel's situated in a pedestrian street and is fairly quiet with views out over a lemon grove. They have a great combination: stylish interior (rooms and furniture), location (away from the maddening crowd of day trippers who frequent Capri town), terraces with views, and the fact that the people who work there are the owners (Paolo and Marcello). Both were extremely helpful in recommending suitable places to eat at and in making a luncheon reservation for my wife's birthday celebration; nothing seemed to be a problem. They are friendly people who always seemed to have the time to stop what they were doing and talk to us about their background and other things about living on the island. We can not recommend this place highly enough if you're looking for style and friendliness away from the crowds.

Room Tip: we stayed upstairs in a superior double room, the second room in from the street; it was roomy with...
