The grounds are beautiful and the pool was great - small but clean and generally quiet. We stayed in room (actually stand alone building) 12 - it was large, airy, clean and furnished simply but well with plenty of options for outdoor seating (mini patio with table and chairs at the back, a roof terrace with sun loungers and a stone bench at the front) and an indoor table and chairs too. We were there in early September and despite daytime temperatures of around 30C the room was a very pleasant temperature at night so we never needed to pay for the air conditioning. We did both end up with quite a few insect bites, our view was that given the beautiful greenery all around insects are inevitable but do heed the warnings to take insect repellant.

We are averagely fit 30 and 40 somethings and found the estimate of a 15 minute walk into the centre of Anacapri fair - there is one short, step uphill section and the rest is gentle uphill. We found the lighting walking back after dark OK (there are street lights the whole way) except one place where the street light was out. A torch is a good idea just in case. There is also the option of the bus - 1.60 euros a time, very frequent and runs late into the evening. You can also walk to the Blue Grotto in under 15 minutes taking the 'Old Grotto Road' - in one section road is a vast over statement (more rocky slope) but wear sturdy sandles or trainers and its a great mini adventure!

The staff were friendly - taking time to tell us about the local area when we checked in despite an unexpectly late arrival time and providing a free lift to the harbour at the end of our stay. There was a good basic continental breakfast. By the very pricey standards of the island this is good value for money and great for a relaxing break.

The room is pretty. The garden is beautiful. The breakfast is nice. The pool is nice as well. People are kind.
Rooms are seperated from each other, there is any noise from other people.
Our room also has a balcony.
We took a bus at the port and transferred at Anacapri to get this hotel. Taking a super crowded bus with big luggage is not so easy, but as soon as I got the hotel, I knew that staying at Anacapri; Villa eva is a great decision. When we leaved the hotel, we didn't expect, but the host gave us a ride to the bus stop so that we didn't need to transfer. Taking a super crowed bus just one time is not bad.
I just read other review about 180* ocean view. Even though our room doesn't have the view, it was still awesome, and I hope I can stay at the good view room next time.
If I visit Capri or Anacapri again, that is to stay at Villa Eva again.

Great location not quite in the hustle and bustle but within easy walking distance to Anacapri. The owners are generous and kind and the whole atmosphere is laid back. The room was great.

We stayed in Villa Eva in July 2011. We found Capri town to be pretty manic in the late morning heat. We made our way to Villa Eva by bus and found it to be an oasis of calm. We were given an amazing room, really big, spotlessly clean and well decorated. It even had a roof terrace. Our two kids loved the spiral staircase and their room upstairs. We were given lots of advice on where to go and what to see. Boats to the blue grotto are a 15 minute walk away. Ana Capri is not as glitzy as Capri itself but we found it to be charming all the same. The pool was lovely and the gardens were gorgeous. They were the best we saw on our 3 week holiday. A lot of care goes into them. Would go back again.
