“What a joy to be back in Capri”

I was lucky enough to have lived on Capri many many years ago, so when I had this opportunity to revisit albeit just for a couple of days, I jumped at it. The Capri Palace is beautiful. Lovely rooms, charming restaurant with amazing food, and staff made me feel very welcomed. The only tiny criticism would be of the spa. The girls were not very professional in my opinion considering its pretty expensive. Apart from that the rest of the experience was great. On checking out no hotel mini bus available and the staff who was supposed to meet me at the port with my ticket didnt show up. This didnt affect me but it might have for someone less experienced with Capri life. I will definately return.

“WOW!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 October 2011

We are on a tour of Italy....started in Milan (we'll write about it soon)...we just wanted to write about this...we were told Capri was amazing....and despite being October it is!....complementary prosecco upon arrival...rooms overlooking the Naples bay...people sooo friendly! Breakfast great...not great furniture to be honest but soo Capri style...worth your visit despite (very) high price...

“Expensive but SO worth every euro”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2011

From the moment we were unexpectedly picked up in the port, to the friendly welcome and tour of the hotel on arrival, to the even more wonderful room upgrade given to us, the complimentary prosecco and canapes offered to us, the fabulous food in the restaurant, the really helpful staff in the boutique..... just everything about this hotel said luxury and service. Every contact with any staff member was just what you would expect and more. The room was huge with a balcony and most importantly clean and comfortable. Dinner in the michelin star restaurant was delicious and so well executed with little surprise offerings from the chef along the way. The buffet breakfast was everything it needed to be. Nice area to walk around in and only a short bus ride to the other main parts of Capri. Yes, it is pretty expensive. But we really felt it was deserving of the price tag. Will certainly go back.

“Blown Away - THE NICEST OF HOTELS”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 October 2011

One part of our honeymoon was to stay at the palace for two nights. As we were shuttled up to the Palace from the ferry, it so happen that we had the GM hitching a ride with us! After we got to chatting a bit and after we arrive. The unthinkable happened!

The GM upgraded us to the 2nd to best room in the entire Palace! ONE BELOW THE PENTHOUSE!

The room was spared no expense. From a private ocean view veranda with a private pool, to the elegant suite that had a livingroom, bedroom and two baths, we were in shock!

We heard nothing but incredible things about this Palace and that is why we chose it. We plan on bringing our entire family back soon!

For those who had a bad experience - Well, geesh.. I don't don't know what to tell you. We peeked into other rooms as they were being cleaned and they were all absolutely beautiful.

The breakfast was to die for (We stayed in 5 hotels during our honeymoon and THIS one tops it!)

I loved the idea that this Palace was set back and away from the public. And it makes sense. Many members of the US Entertainment community stay here and who wants to walk out in front a bunch of people. As for those who complained of all the 'tourists' in the plaza... Ummm, CAPRI IS A VACATION DESTINATION. Get over it!

A++++

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautifully maintained.

“Nice Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 September 2011

We stayed here for two nights in a spacious room. Very few rooms have views.
The room is decorated in a shabby chic style. Cheap furniture whitewashed.
The room was very clean and had a large tub.

Breakfast buffet was great.
Roast Beef dinner was two slices of shaved beef.
The duck was excellent. The pool was also quite nice.

The ride up to the hotel and back is like a roller coaster ride,
knuckle white hang on by your teeth.
Some of the restaurants and shops close early.
It is definitely expensive and touristy.

This was the only hotel we stayed at that we could not use our universal adapter.
