“Won't Be There For Long”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

This Hotel is possibly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. This is for sevral reasons. Firstly, every single member of staff are rude, arrogant and selfish. On the first night I arrived they lay out a nice buffet for us to eat. I got up and got some roast chicken which was raw. I went and complained to the manager as this was quite frankly, dicusting. He said he did not want to upset anybody else in his hotel and so took me over to one side. I thought he was trying to be polite but as I got to the corner, he continued to scream in my face. When he started screaming, my friend (who is fluent in German) ran up behind him to listen to what he was saying. As my friend did not want to get kicked out of the hotel did not confront him. Anyway, later we discussed it and I found out that he said 'I had no right to complain' and that 'I was a weak fool who should not have been allowed through Immigration. Secondly, the rooms were damn right terrible. The beds were absolutley discusting and looked as if they had not been cleaned in a week and the bed linen was the same as the last tennants. The toilet was filthy and there was no towels. This hotel ruined my holiday and my friends too. As far as I am concerned please go to Germany, please go to Rust and please go to Europa Park but do not go to Hotel Rebstock as it will completely wreck your holiday!

Room Tip: A tip to choose a good room is to go to a different hotel.

“In the wrong business!”

I have just taken a school group to this hotel, would not go back there and would suggest you don't either, mostly due to the owner/manager - he is an awkward, sarcastic --- who should not be in the hospitality business. He managed to offend/ annoy me (on a number of occassions), two more of my staff and our coach driver.
Some of the rooms were dated and walls thin (so noise seemed to travel) but they were generally fine.
There is a small games room but the pool cues had no tips, the table football was missing half of the balls and the DVD player didn't work. And they wanted to close this room at 10pm despite it being out of the way and not disturbing anyone.
The breakfast was good (a typical continental spread) but our evening meal was awful - although there was a salad bar and soup available, over 3 days our main courses were fish and chips, boiled potatoes and burgers and chicken and rice. There was no option and no vegetables. I had to ask for something vegetarian and then had the ----taken out of me for that. Some priceless comments included, "Could I eat ketchup as it looked like blood?" and, "Could I eat vegetables as the snakes and animals had crawled over them!?" There was also a bowl of unappetising, none-descript slop for desert. I actually took my group out for pizza on the last night so I knew they would eat something.
The main course food issue was compounded by the fact that there was a buffet spread available for other individual guests that we could see but not eat. So that made us feel like 2nd class citizens.
The best thing about the hotel was it being a 5 minute walk to Europa Park through the quaint little village Rust.
So I'd recommend you go to Rust and Europa Park, just stay at a different hotel!

“Wonderfully efficient staff, good price, and very good accomodations”

Rust is a town with a village atmosphere that is connected to a large theme park (an odd thing to carry around) in the green countryside of SW Germany. It is a friendly safe environment, but it sleeps very early most of the time. When you need to sleep there, you can do it well at Hotel Rebstock where the staff is friendly and works hard to make you comfortable during your stay. They have an outstanding buffet for breakfast to get you started. From the hotel you can walk to Europa park in about 5 minutes. The only downside about Rust is that it's not a very exciting place once the park closes, but that at least lets you save up your reserves for the next day. In any case, Hotel Rebstock is highly recommended.

“Excellent value for money”

Hotel Rebstock is a basic hotel located in het centre of the town of Rust. It's is located about 5 min from the Europapark themepark. That was for me also the reason to visit this hotel. We had a double bed room on the 3rd floor which was small but had everything you need. Small tv, and a well equiped bathroom. Breaffast was included in the price and was for what you payed for the room (€48 per person) very good. It had a good variety of choices. The room does not have AC and can get very warm on hot summer days.

I would recommend this hotel for a trip for a couple of days to Europapark, not for a longer stay. Rooms are just to small.

“One of my most enjoyable experiences”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 July 2010

I visited Germany and France in early July with a large group from school and we stayed at the Hotel Rebstock. I am extremely happy to say that my experience was a fantastic one. The rooms were cleaned every day and even though I am quite fussy about cleanliness, I cannot fault it at this hotel. The location is beautiful, it is situated in a lovely village called Rust which has a nice ice cream parlour and lots of shops. It is quite a quiet area but with a definite happy buzz. It is also handy that the hotel is so close to Europa Park, which is definitely worth a visit. The rooms in the hotel are nice, the particular room I stayed in was amazing, unlike anything I have ever seen before without a trace of exaggeration. The rooms are spotlessly clean. The service in the hotel is quite good, but I wasn't too keen on the food. I never had any issues with sleep; we were undisturbed each night and slept well. Overall I am delighted to have been able to stay at Hotel Rebstock; though if I have to make a negative observation, I would have to say I found the manager a bit rude at times, which is disappointing as everything else about the hotel is near perfect. Having said this, I thought it was very generous of the manager to buy my friend cakes out of his own money on her Birthday. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I hope to stay at Hotel Rebstock again in the future.
