We just got back from 2 nights staying at the hotel El Andaluz at the Europa Park resort. We arrived early and checking in was painless, every member of reception staff I spoke to was very friendly and spoke very good English. We were there too early to drop our bags off in the room but the hotel provide a locker room so we could go straight to the park. The park can be accessed just by walking through the back of the courtyard (at the time of visiting the park opened some rides 30 mins before the park officially opened, for hotel guests). You get stamped with an invisible stamp so you can walk in and out of the park as many times as you want, although I was a little worried some of the water rides would eventually wear this off.
The hotel itself is based around an attractive courtyard with outdoor pool and consists of several bars and restaurants. Our room was big, with sofa, table, 2 chairs, flatscreen cable tv, table, desk and double bed and the bathroom clean and spacious. My only gripes with the room were the bed, although perfectly comfortable, did creak a lot every time you moved and our room had a little cupboard with a key in which I presumed was a safe. Only after some minutes of jiggling the key trying to get it out of the lock did I realise it was for decoration only and not meant to come out!
The breakfast buffet was excellent, a wide choice of foods to suit all tastes. We ate other meals in the park which we were also impressed with.
We timed our visit well (end of September) as the park wasn't very crowded, the longest we had to wait for any ride at the busiest time of day was about 10 minutes.
Would definatley recommend.
