“Won't really fault it but, a couple of things missing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 October 2011

Rooms a good size for a family of 4 with double and 2 bunk beds and usual facilities. Pillows are very thin but, we received 2 thick pillows upon request. We were disappointed that the only english speaking channel, apart from stock market (Bloomsberg) is the BBC World Service. Plenty of car parking and bus stop to Ringsheim (railway) station directly outside. Good check in/check out service. No tea & coffee facilities. Great selection of food in the buffet restaurant. Immediate (2 minute walk) access to the Park.

“Good Standard Hotel for value”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2011

We stayed at the El Andaluz for one night as it looked pricewise right.
We paid 90 EUR per person for a double and 130 EUR for a single room. A downfall was that we did not get an interconnecting room. I am not sure, if the El Andaluz has interconnecting room after all. The suite we found to be very expensive, which is why we chose the normal rooms. Our rooms faced the road side, which forced us to keep the rolo down all the time. We found that to be inadequat for a hotel room.
The food was below average. We went to the buffet restaurant at the hotel. We liked the style very much. It reminds you how people ate during the knights ara, one big hall with heavy wooden tables, drinking from metal cups, eating from metal plates etc. We really liked that.
The buffet itself looked appealing but the food wasn't good enough. The turkey breast was dry since it was kept only under the heating light. The chicken wings were dry too and no sauce or gravy anywhere around!
The salads were ok but nothing spectacular. The dessert section lifted it a bit with all the small bits and pieces on small plates, in bowls and glasses. We really loved that!
29 EUR for food only for a buffet like that is not aceptable. The restaurant for sure did around 300 people that night and I would guess that this is the normality. If the chef has that many people going through the quality of food can easily be lifted!
The hotel is classified as 4 Star. There is no water cooker in the room, which would have mede it easier for us to prepare food for our child. Other than that the shower cabin is comfotably big and the bathroom is a good size. What I found to be very good was that there an extra diper bin in the bathroom. The beds are ok but nothing special, the mattress was somewhat soft, which made me sinking into the bed and getting out wasn't as easy as thought! If you have a back problem, you may want to request another bed/ mattress.

Breakfast was better than expected after the disppointing dinner. We went to the same restaurant as we really liked the style.
There was salmon, cold cuts, salads, pan cakes, muffins, all sorts of bread etc.
A very positive add was that you could even make hot chocolate by yourself and it was included! There was hot and cold milk... The buffet was very good!
Departure was easy and quick. The receptionist did not ask us how the stay was and did not invite us back, which was a bit disppointing. But we will be back anyway as we haven't seen much of the park so far. We will choose another hotel next time and see, if there is a difference.

Room Tip: Make sure to get a room facing into the hotels yard not to the outside.

“Nice but noisy hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 September 2011

I stayed in this hotel for only one night. I will try to summarize the positive and negative points on my opinion:

Positive:
- very good location at the park entrance
- nice Spanish design
- good quality breakfast with plenty to choose from. Big variety of tea, pastries and fruit juices.
- big luggage room next to the reception
- nice heated pool
- clean bathrooms
- very useful drop box for keys at check-out. This helped us to skip the check-out queue and save time.

Negative:
- standard rooms for up to 4 persons (with two queen beds) very small.
- during the weekends, especially when the weather is nice, the park is full and the hotels gets noisy during the night. Bad noise insulation.
- the room was not very clean, with lot of dust and dirt on the floor. However, the beds were clean but not very comfy.
- the staff at the reception is nice, but not so confident in English.

Next time I will try Colloseo for a change.

“Great experience!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 September 2011

Our daughter had birthday and we decided to stay in Europa Park, we called reservations and the only choice for suite was in Hotel El Andaluz.. We stayed in Royal suite, the experience was WONDERFUL! We loved the hotel, it is beautifully decorated, pleasant personnel, nice dinner. Our daughter loved the present from the hotel for her birthday, and absolutely adored her 2 store bad. Make sure to sort out the situation with airport transfer, we ordered it but regular taxi came, which was quite a surprise. The way back was the same, as I understood it was too early for hotel car, so we got taxi again, although we had amazing driver! Breakfast was crowded and choice of food was limited. But this remark is for 5 star, however this hotel is 4, so shouldn't be judged so strictly. It is so nice and beautiful you feel it is 5 star......

Room Tip: Please note that the veiw from the room is beautiful, however it is very noisy, first of all music...

“Children frindly hotel next to Europapark”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2011

There are good conference fascilities within the hotels from the Europark. However if you are there during holiday season, the hotels are full and a lot of children are around.
The rooms of the hotel are functional and very clean. The rooms have not a good noise isolation, so that you hear very well what is going on in the lobby.

Room Tip: If you want a quite room make sure that it does not face the lobby
