Given that we booked late and that the park hotels were either v. pricey or sold-out we went via Trip Advisor and looked for other choices in Rust - and were very pleased with the Kosel.
c. 5 mins walk from the main gate and with on-site parking meant a good location and family room was as on the website (with bunk beds for the children) + nice balcony and table/chairs outside. No aircon, but windows could be opened and we were so tired after the park that sleeping was not an issue. Bathroom small but well laid out and decorated. Free wireless, via the local provider.
Breakfast had a good selection of breads/meats/cheeses etc and even though we were late down, could hang around some way after 'closing'.
The owners - and especially Mrs Kosel - very welcoming and helpful and with perfect English, so a pleasure to stay there; also very helpful with recommendations as to where to have dinner in the town (better than in the park).
Basically, a good option if you can't get into the park hotels/prices too high.
