“SHEER DELIGHT!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2011

My sister, niece and I visited in at the end of May.
The roses were in full bloom and the grounds simply lovely.
We dined each night on delightful fresh food from
the local markets. The duck was bliss. The wines
were perfect.
I don't understand the reviewer from July.
The chateau is in perfect shape - not shabby-
And certainly not unclean.
I am very particular about germs.
There was no dirty coverlet on the bed or animal residue.
The bathrooms have high tech showers and scented milled soaps.
The rooms are large.
Guests have full use of salons and the library.
The elevator is quick.
While booking, their website also allows you to look in the windows of the chateau to view guest rooms and select what room you would prefer.
We found the staff very helpful and polite-
In fact, as we were arranging for the bags to be taken to
the room, my sister was off on a tour of the chapel and other sites
on the property - She was laughing and having a wonderful time with
the staff.
Perhaps the key is that we dressed for dinner and were prepared to have fun.
And, even though you are paying to be there, you respect that you are in someone's
chateau - Not the Holiday Inn or a Marriott.
Merci` Le Chateau Reignac-
We look forward to our next visit!

“wish I could keep it to myself!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2011

Each year I take my small group "Tours for Women' to France. Since finding this wonderful chateau 4 years ago,I return each year with the tour. My clients love it.

We are treated as friends. The food is good value and abundant, each room is decorated in a different theme, the village is tiny but interesting, the chateau's park has deer in it......The entire place is one I wish no one else knew about!

Contrary to a previous review - there is always someone on the premises! The owners live on the top floor, so help is always at hand.
This is not your average hotel - it is out-of-the ordinary.

“Nice Chateau but food a letdown”

Very friendly staff, nice rooms, historic, out of town location.
But..dinner was very ordinary - and no choice (but god wine), 7am churchbells a problem if you want to sleep.
Price for half board was 50 euro over the top vs. booking accomodation, dinner and breakfast separately.

“King for a day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 September 2010

Erick & Francoise, made us feel like royalty, nothing was too much trouble, even though they were putting finishing touches to a wedding on our day departure, we were given all the time in world.
We preordered our meal which was simply devine, the Vouvray sparkling wine was simply delicious, the food that was served was better than food served at michelin starred restraunts that we have frequented from time to time.
the village it's self so so quiet, we enjoyed a sandwich at the little cafe in the square, all the people we met in Regnac-sur-Indre were (like most French people we have met) very polite, put up with our poor attempts at speaking the language, and went beyond English levels of customer service.
Can not wait to return next year for longer.

“The chateau we dreamed of for our fairytale wedding.......”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 August 2010

Following our recent Wedding at the chateau de Reignac we would like to post a review as we had a wonderful fairytale time. The way in which Eric and Francoise and the rest of the staff have the place is amazing. I will remember Francoise being my Fairy Godmother; everywhere I looked or needed assistance she just appeared to help with such ease and elegance. On the other hand Eric was defiantly the “man of the manner” in every given way. He was charming and full of historical stories, it was very clear that he was very passionate about his beloved business/home. Our rooms had a touch of magic about them and had all been extremely cleverly restored. Each room had its own style so be sure to choose your room to suits you. As the Bride and Groom we could not have asked for more, the bathroom also had a very special feel with all the mod-cons yet still the historical air especially with the huge antique bath to loose yourself in just like a real princess.
For our special wedding meal we had the honour of Eric himself cooking for us. This in itself was a delight every inch of the meal was specially cooked and designed in his own scrumptious way. Truly a meal to remember as the whole family agreed it finished off wonderful day we will never forget
We also enjoyed the local village dinning with David and Elaine in the local “sports bar” (I think that’s what it was called) one evening. They opened up especially for our family and made us some good home cooked local food....... Merci infiniment de votre hospitalité xxxx
This is defiantly a place we will revisit and will never forget.... Keep up the good hospitable work Eric and Francoise and thanks again for helping to create the wedding of our dreams.
