Having stayed previously at the Terrabella on business, I was eager to find out what sort of services the Diego de Alamgro hotel chain had brought to Talca. This is a new hotel and building, and should satisfy anyone travelling for business or pleasure. Its located on 4 norte, 3 blocks from the plaza the armas and downtown area. On the same road as the FITAL fairgrounds, where several events take place during the year.
Apparently all rooms are standard. I stayed in one on the 8th floor that was well spaced, with a king sized bed, comfortable with clean linens and bedspread. The room had a large AC system that I didnt try out. Also had a 21" Tv with cable, digital safe, minibar stocked only with sodas, beer and 1 mini bottle of pisco (chilean liquor). No snacks. It has high speed internet included in the room rate and the hotel provides a LAN cable if required free of charge. Very basic bathroom kit w/ shampoo, soap and shower cap.
As for the services, I didnt find a room service menu so Im not sure if they provide that service.
The hotel has a medium sized indoor pool and a sauna.
Buffet breakfast was varied and plentiful. Scrambled eggs, ham, various breads, jams, yogurts, fruits, pastries and cereals. Coffee was the instant type, and another guest who asked for an expresso was told the machine was broken.
Overall, a comfortable stay.
