I Stayed here for the first time after many trips to Kuwait, and I’ll stay here again. Rooms are pretty much as pictured on the web site. They are fairly large by American standards, huge by European standards, and the bathrooms are large with both a shower stall and a tub. There was lots of closet space, but the safe was too small for my laptop. The rooms have a small balcony, or patio, which was nice to sit of after work. My pre-arranged pickup at the airport was seamless, and my check in at 2:00 am was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was the same every day, but there was lots of choice and a chef was ready to do eggs any way you want. The hotel has a reasonable gym with free weights, weight machines and aerobic machines. There is a lap pool about 25 meters long, and a free-form pool with a bar and restaurant (closed in November). I rented a meeting room for a few hours and was satisfied with both the room and the refreshments provided. I had a pair of slacks and a golf shirt cleaned by the hotel after food was spilled on them on my flight to Kuwait, and they returned immaculate. The Marina Hotel is located in an attractive area of Kuwait City adjacent to a powerboat marina, a selection of restaurants, and the large Marina Mall. The coast in both directions from the hotel is manicured parkland with an attractive pedestrian walk.
Room Tip: The hotel is on a peninula, well away from city noise, and all the rooms seem good.
