“Dead Sea disaster”

The service was annoying, masacre was the right name for buffet, agressive guests were attacking food court in attempt to conquer every dish, spa and swimming pool were dirty and overcrowded. Very many strange people just love this place. The only advantage is food. It is really very tasty. Staff cannot answer what restaurant to visit in Ein Bokek. You immediately become the target of numerous hospitals staff, that are interested in selling you packages of medical care. They have never heard of politeness and client service and feel sincerely offended if you ask them not to offer to you fullbodycare-deadsea-minerals-therapy14days-course even if your staying time is 1 week. Some people just don't understand.

“A great hotel at a perfect location !”

Our group of 24 has just completed a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Our itinerary included only ONE night in the Dead Sea area. After spending our ONE night at the Leonardo Club Dead Sea, we all wished that we could stay there longer ! The Group Manager warmly greeted us upon arrival. The hotel is 5-star and all-inclusive. We enjoyed drinking beer & wine there for no extra cost. The foods are really good and abundant with a wide variety to choose from. Our room is very decent and has a balcony looking to the Dead Sea with its mountain nearby. We all managed to take beautiful photos of sun rise over the mountain & the Dead Sea. We celebrated mass in the Meeting Hall and I was impressed that an official & beautiful sign had been tailor-made for our group to easily identify the meeting location. The hotel surprised us with a wide range of beverages (soft drinks, coffee & tea) available for us to enjoy while chatting right after mass. We all felt as if we were "VIPs" attending a conference, not just pilgrims attending a mass. The hotel's private beach is a great asset with many outdoor furniture for tourists to lay down for a sunbath or just for relaxation. We all had a lot of fun floating on the Dead Sea. We also felt safe with the presence and assistance of a lifeguard there. For those who prefer a warmer float, you can use the hotel's spa which filed up with Dead Sea water at much warmer temperature. This option attracted many senior members in our group whilst our younger members enjoyed a good swim in a big swimming pool outdoor. Many members regretted that they could not book for a "mud wrap" during our 1-day stay because this service was fully booked. However I myself managed to get a beautiful massage service after a long pilgrimage. Everyone strongly suggested that our next visit must include at least 2 nights in the Dead Sea. It's a pity that we must leave so soon without having more time to explore the area and try out the hotel's entertainment activities separately designed for children & adults. The Group Manager said Good Bye and had a group photo with us upon our departure. We can't wait for our next visit !

Room Tip: If you book for a family, ask for a suite. It has a large balcony with a private spa to make you fee...

“Not even for a One Night Stay :-(”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 December 2011

I am embarassed to say that I am Israeli and yet I wasn't careful enough to
stay away from this hotel. I was looking for a good hotel to spend a day in the
Dead Sea and a Spa treatment,,,just a dayoff. Well it was horrible. The smell
of a cheap deodorant welcomed me in the lobby, that was to cover up the
unpleasnat smell coming from the dining room. The hotel was packed mostly
with Israeli residents so it doesn't seem to be popular among tourists anyway.
The whole atmosphere reminded me of a railway station, well we Israeli are very
noisy or simply like to be heard.
The food was terrible. The spa was ok yet expensive. The inside
sea water pool smelled bad so I did not even bother to step into. The room
was very basic. So again I enjoyed the nature part of the stay there, which is
really the Dead Sea ,although the water was too cold (December) and ofcourse
watching the scenary upon sunrise...but for enjoying nature one does not require
staying in such a hotel. Next time I will opt for another hote. My advise is to look
only for the best hotel in the area because this is the dead sea which means there
is nothing special to do outside the hotel.

“Excellent vacation in leonardo club hotel”

we spent a family vacation for the fifth time in this hotel. it is excellent for families with kids - all included, nice pool, good beach and very close to dead sea. The best thing is the service - they are very kind and trying to fullfill all requests.
We will come back for sure

Room Tip: ask for high floor in the new section
