We have been going to this hotel for several years usually in September or October and always during the week. In the last few years it has gone through several hotel keepers. My husband had called in August to book the same room that we had always stayed in and he calls it our "Honeymoon Suite" and was told that it was available. It is a room with a nice view of the lake and very bright due to the sliding door that goes onto a deck. We had been told in the past that it cost more then other rooms but that was the room we liked. He gave the person our e-mail address but I never received any confirmation about the reservation. When I went to check in, they had me with a reservation. After checking me in she handed me the room key and I noticed the key had the wrong room number. Then she told me there were quests who had come on Tuesday and decided to stay in the room we requested. We stayed because we were both tired from the long drive. We were charged the same rate for a room next to the one we requested that was very dark and a horrible bed. It would of been nice to of been told through an e-mail or even before she took my money. It was a disappointment and have forced us to look at other motels for our future visits. We had overlooked some other changes in the past few years but this was the breaking point.
