It´s hard to add anything to the previous comments. I can only second on the most my fellow reviewers said. The Royal Palm is truly one of the best holidy resorts in the world. The combination of beautiful nature, original authentic architecture, secluded privacy and foremost exquisite french cuisine and meticulous service and staff. Worth every penny!

Christmas in the sun is a good choise. Service is very good and everybody of the staff is friendly, from housekeeping to the Spa.The setting of the Royal Spa is beautiful but you must also see something of Mauritius. We rent a cab for a day to see the South. Also took a day with dolpininventure and the boys went a day on seefishing. All the watersports at the hotel are included so the clhildren did a lot of wakeboarding and we went out with the glass bottom boat. We had junior suites with a good look at the new pool and the beach. At Christmas night we see and hear the gospel choir from our terrace. Dresscode with Christmas is for men costume with tie. There is a Christmas dinner or a custom menu map. We found the price foor the Christmas dinner too expensive € 200,00 per person!!minus the half board price.From last time we knew that the food is excellent with compliments to the pattiserie team. It will be difficult to getting used to normal business but we will back.

If you want tranquility, excellent service, courteous & attentive staff then this is the only place to be. My wife is a vegetarian and in many so-called 5 star hotels is treated as a nuisance. The Royal Palm's Head Chef, Michel de Matteis, could not be more helpful even constructing personalised menus for her approval. I do not understand the complaints about disco noise at all! The hotel closes the in-house music groups at midnight, a plus for us, and we have never had our sleep disturbed by outside revelry! If you enjoy a slightly old-fashioned approach to hospitality ie care and courtesy then choose the Royal Palm. If you want 'hectic' and noisy guests then The Royal Palm is NOT for you! We would NEVER stay anywhere else.

Have just completed a 3 week stay at the Royal Palm in Mauritius. What can I say other than absolutely brilliant!! Weather fantastic, sea beautiful, location excellent!! Perfect for people who like a quiet relaxing holiday!! This is our 6th stay here and wouldn't dream of going to a different hotel.
