A Harpur alumnus, I was in town for Homecoming Weekend. I had read the motel's reviews and called to book a room. Glad I did. Clerk was very friendly and helpful. Resident black lab friendly also. Owner does have a number of Cadillac collectibles at the motel. Room was clean. Furnishings were not new but in good shape. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom spotless with black tiled shower. Motel sits far off the road and my room was quiet. I also was able to take a morning walk in a nice quiet neighborhood behind the motel.

I cannot really express how much I like the Vestal Motel. When I started as a student in Binghamton the "living arrangements" the university held for me were completely inadequate. I went through place after place and finally found the Vestal Motel by its neon sign off of the Vestal Parkway.

The owner is gracious and immediately made me feel welcomed. The hotel was the 4th place I looked at that day and i am glad I went. It blows everything else away in price, comfort and security.

After talking to the owner about my predicament with BU he rented a room to me for the week. The week turned out to be the better part of the year. I really enjoyed my time there and it allowed me to acclimate to the Binghamton area so I could take my time in finding an apartment.

The rooms contain a bathroom, shower, toilet and sink. There is a microwave and fridge (no mini-bar). Cooling in the summer and heat in the winter. Clean sheets and towels. Cable tv is also included and I am not sure on wireless internet.

Great location and great owner. I always come here when I am in town.

We wanted to stay in Binghamton after seeing a ballgame, but all the motels were full, except one crummy chain that wanted $79 + tax for a smoking room. We decided to hit the old highway after the game and see what happened. I spotted the neon sign, and we decided to check it out. It's a design popular in the late '50s, one long wing of rooms with a two-story office in the center.

My fiancee was worried by the group of older cars with NY plates in the lot, but when I went into the office, it turned out that the owner collects older Cadillacs. The owner is a real character who's owned the motel since 1976. I played with his dog while he made sure we had enough towels.

The room was acceptable for the $53 we paid. The carpet was an old shag, but clean. The bed was large and had clean sheets, but the mattress was pretty beat. We got a fridge and microwave in the room. The bathroom was a great black tile with pink floor and fixtures, and was clean and well kept. We had a quiet night, as the motel is set well back from the road.
