“Best anniversary weekend!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2011

My husband and I stayed 1 night for our 7th anniversary weekend in November. We couldn't have picked a more perfect B&B. The location is fantatic with hiking and shopping close by as well as dinner at the infamous Hazlenut Kitchen. The B&B is on a lovely property, decorated with amazing antiques and is quiet and comfortable. The room was spotless and we enjoyed a lovely fireplace and luxurious bathroom. We will be back!

Room Tip: Choose the Chardonnay Suite!

“Excellent B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

Gothic Eves is an exceptionally well-run bed-and-breakfast. The hostess, Rose, is both friendly and professional. She also doesn't cut corners: The rooms are lovely and have extras such as comfy throws, gas fireplaces, really nice bathrobes, and access to board games and microwaves with hot chocolate and teas. Breakfast is delightful, all oganic and/or locally sourced foods prepared wonderfully and accommpanied by French press coffee. I highly recommend this inn. Bonus: Gothic Eves is a short walk to Trumansburg's quaint shopping district.

“Great B&B near Ithaca”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2011

We stayed two nights here in the Merlot room. The room is interesting as you have to walk through the bathroom in order to enter the room. It's an old house and uses the old style skeleton keys. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. There is a large window which overlooks the garden. The owner Rose was very nice and outgoing and made incredible breakfasts using locally grown ingredients. We booked the hot tub which was the highlight of our stay. It's a wood fired soaking tub which feels great when it's cold outside. The Gothic Eves is also very close to the state park and town, which has a great bar in it called the Rongovian Embassy. It's also close to the wine trails which is why we booked it. Would stay here again if in the area.

“Great place!”

Just stayed there end of Sept. 2011. Rose does a great job and she is meticulous. Her attention to detail shows everywhere you turn. She makes a great breakfast. She is full of info for places to visit, eat and other things to do. While we were there, 2 other couples were there for their annual weekend which they have done for the last 14 years. That says something! I'd absolutely go back.
The only drawback which is not their fault is that they are on a busy thorofare. A room towards the back of the house would help.

Room Tip: Away from the road would reduce noise. There is a newer updated house next door with several rooms...

“Great B&B for exploring wineries”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 September 2011

We stayed in the Bordeaux room which is on the first floor of the main house. It is rather noisy as it faces the street front and side so there can be road noise especially from trucks. The beds were comfy but the bath needs a redo. Our friends stayed in the top floor in a newly remodeled room which was beautiful and others in the new suite on the top floor of Potter House (completely redone) next door another lovely suite. The Bordeaux bath is small and not good for an older person (not a problem for us) getting into a claw foot tub that could only be used as a shower. Breakfast was delicious however there was no choice which could be a problem for some. We had a lovely time in the wood burning hot tub one night and had a fire with supplies for so'mores, lots of fun. Rose is very friendly and so was Nancy. Would definitely recommend this place but look over the rooms carefully.

Room Tip: Choose room carefully, rooms in front can have lots of road noise
