Checked in 7/10 unfortunately by the most crass, decrepid and miserable hotel clerk I have ever met. Mind you, I have traveled and stayed in several hotels over the years. This one was the cream of the crop for horrific service. We checked in. The woman was absolutely foul from the get go. Not a smile on her face. We had reserved our hotels on priceline. I thought the rooms were prepaid for as when you book on priceline, 99% of the time, it's already prepaid. My friend that was with me accidentally dropped her keys on the desk and the hotel clerk says "Please take a seat ma'am." - WTF. To make matters worse, she just continued her irrational behavior throughout checkin. We had booked 2 rooms. The woman asks for two separate credit cards - again, we booked it with ONE credit card. I walked out after checking in because I just could not take her incompetence. I tried to reason with the second clerk working on the shift, but she also did not care about anyone and couldn't answer simple questions.
The room stunk. They advertised a queen bed. Bull. It was a full at its best. I have a queen at home and it's bigger than the bed they have.
I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever times infinity stay at Microtel again. Beware checking in. Oh, they also make you slide your card in for getting ice. Sad, isn't it? I paid $89.95 for the room - it was not worth the aggravation.
The room was small. The bathroom was kinda dirty as well. We didn't spend most of our time in the room, thank God.
There are PLENTY of other hotels around. Do not use this one or the evil witch will shoo you away with her broomstick!
