Extremely happy with this hotel. I've stayed at a lot of places while on vacation and for business, and this definitely tops the list. A group of us were staying in the area, and the staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy and comfortable. Checkout was a breeze, they had the paperwork ready and already printed out, just needed to be signed. They gave us the pool/breakfast hours, and offered to open either outside of normal hours if our schedule didn't line up.
The room itself was great, plenty big and comfortable beds. Lots of pillows (4 per bed) which is always a plus. The TV only had 30 something channels, but I was happy to find NFL Network and catch a Thursday night game I figured I'd be missing. What really stood out in the rooms was attention to detail: an extra outlet on the bedside lamp for a cell phone charger, a lighted light switch next to the door, a very well-designed bathroom, and heavy, solid doors. They really went all out and bought good quality heavy duty stuff for the whole room.
The breakfast in the morning was awesome also. Tons of food to choose from: hot eggs and sausage, cold and hot cereals, english muffins and toast, a waffle maker, yogurt, and plenty of other stuff. We went to the pool for a day also, the hot tub isn't too hot but it's big, which is nice. The pool is pretty warm. Didn't use the exercise room but it seemed pretty well equipped. We went to the restaurant for dinner, and it was pretty good. Nothing special but decent. I recommend Two Brothers Meat Market (a deli) for lunch in downtown Ticonderoga, great sandwiches.
