I was stunned by this hotel. First, on a very long walk to my room through dirty hallways, I was beginning to worry. When I got to my room, my key did not work. I found a maid who called the front desk and they advised her to let me in...and she did...without checking my ID. The room was average at best, with an outdated shower/tub that needed new grout. Next, my TV didn't work and I had to call to have it serviced. All in all, this is a sub par Doubletree that is in serious need of renovation. I am surprised by any above average reviews. Way overpriced for what too get.

This is the perfect place for a NYC gettaway. Seriously. It's half hour to the city by train, the hotel picks you up and drops you off at the station - even after MIDNIGHT - so you can play and then AFFORD to stay close to the city. Highly recommend it.

I went to the Doubletree by Hilton Tarrytown for a business trip in September. I have to say the best thing about this hotel is the location. It's close enough to the city but out of the way enough so you can breathe a little! The staff were very friendly and the quality of food in the restaurant was absolutely wonderful. The decor of the hotel is great, rather like a lodge or cabin.

They had the nicest touches in the meeting room as well. There was a Keurig machine which I thought was a great touch, especially for a business meeting!

While the room was clean and quiet, it seems a bit run down. I was also a bit disappointed that the internet is not complimentary. However, all of the great points I mentioned about the hotel definately made up for that.

All in all, a great stay. Thanks again!
