We go to Syracuse, each winter for a weekend to do a little shopping and a getaway and love to stay near the University Downtown.

This hotel is beautiful and so are the rooms. We booked (like we always do) through pricechopper.com so we saved huge.

All updated and renovated with plenty of parking and restaurants near by. Not a far drive to the big mall the Carousel, just 10 minute drive up the highway.

I never eat at the hotels we stay at so can't comment on the food.

Staff is great and helpful.

Walked into the room here - and felt like I was in an apartment! Somewhat reminded me of a Marriott Residence Inn although there were three completely separate rooms (kitchen/dining -- den -- bedroom) plus a bath. Furnishings are a bit dated though the bed was comfy. Parking is very convenient, staff friendly. Bedroom TV didn't work well, housekeeping left dirty towels piled up in the hallway (not where I'd left them) and failed to restock bathroom items. All of that said, this was an OK choice overall - especially if you are in town for something at Syracuse U.

I did not have reservations and they had a room at my companies corporate rate. However, this room didn't have a desk to work on. I asked about the desk and was immediately upgraded at no extra charge. The room was a nice 3 room suite with a comfortable bed and was clean. The location is excellent and convenient to the University and downtown. The hotel restuarant was pretty good but a little over priced. They do have a great wine list but it was kind of dead in there and not a lot of atmosphere and Syracuse was playing basketball and they couldn't even get the game on as they didn't have that channel.
Parking was free and convenient. The staff was very nice and accommadating with anything asked of them. I would stay here again for sure.

The service.at this hotel was the worst i.have ever experienced. We stayed here for a romantic night away from the kids. The room was comfortorable but our room service order came wrong twice. After the second time it arrived wrong we were told they had closed the kitchen and there was nothing they could do. When we asked to speak to a manager about the rude treatment we got from the front desk regarding the issues we had we were told we couldnt speak to the manager and given an email address to report any problems. Not surprisingly we never received a response from althe email. On top of the terrible.service the food was only mediocre. Highly disappointed in this beautiful historic.hotel.
