“Great place to stay for business travel”

I stayed at this hotel for business a couple of times per month for 2-3 days per visit for the past year. The guest rooms with King bed are a good size space and the hotel is very clean. The refrigerator and microwave provided with the room make for a comfortable stay. The hotel has many comfortable seating areas surrounding the Lobby area. All of the hotel staff go the extra mile to smile, greet the guests and made me feel like family. Lorenzo's restaurant, which is attached to the hotel and also has a separate entrance, serves amazing dishes; or you can eat in the bar or opt for room service. The kitchen at Lorenzo's is open very early for breakfast and coffee to go is always ready near the Lobby for guests. Parking is plentiful.

“Some gaffes but they try hard...”

Stayed here for a business trip. I was greeted by a friendly and efficient front desk staff. The room (regular king) was to the Hilton Garden standard (the HGIs that I've stayed have been very consistent here). The adjustable bed was pleasantly firm and very comfortable. There was a small fridge, microwave and coffee station in the room. The TV was flat screen but there were no widescreen/hi-def channels offered. The complementary wired Internet (wireless is offered as well) was OK, even in the evenings.

The bathroom fixtures were showing some wear, with the bathtub faucet about to come off in my hand. One morning when I grabbed what I thought was a clean towel, there was some hair between the folds <yuk!>.

The on-site restaurant (Lorenzo's) was OK and offered mostly Italian-type fare. The breakfast is cooked-to-order eggs with buffet for everything else and was fine. There is an exercise room with the usual cardio machines as well as a weight machine.

This is not a bad choice if you need to be in this part of Staten Island.

“Very nice stay”

I was here with a group for business and was impressed by the quality and cleanliness of the rooms. We had a group dinner in the banquet area and all of the servers were very helpful and the food was very good quality and quantity.

The rooms were nice size and the bed was very comfortable. I didn't spend much time at this hotel but I would recommend it. There are not many options in this area really and it is a nice property overall.

I stayed here in October for a wedding. The lobby is lovely and the dining room is wonderful. We had a great breakfast in the morning. The rooms are very basic and nothing fancy. Exactly what I would expect from this brand. The Catering facility however blew away any expectations. The rooms were one of the most beautiful I've ever seen and the outside has atented area that can be used in poor weather. Would reccomend this facility if in the area!

“Good hotel...poor shuttle service!”

Stayed for one night pre-cruise Dec. 23. 2011. Purchased the cruise and park package. Good rate considering the cost of parking at the port. Hotel is clean and service good. Restaurant was also very good.

Shuttle service to the Cape Liberty Cruise port was less than satisfactory. You need to call a month before to reserve your place, which I did. At. 10:50 on Dec. 24 we went to the lobby as indicated but there were already 3 people waiting for the shuttle with a TON of luggage. Therefore no room for our party of 6, waited until the shuttle returned 45 minutes later, no big deal but not the best way to start a vacation. Where I had a real problem was on Jan. 5 for the return shuttle. I had reserved for 6 passengers for a 9:00 am pick-up. Celebrity Cruises were EXTREMELY slow in the disembarkation ( 45-min late ). At 8:20 I called the hotel to inform them that we would not be able to make the 9:00 shuttle, the reply was that they would wait until 9:20 and then I would need to call if we didn't make it. Needless to say we didn't make it.... I called to hotel to make arrangements to have another pick-up and was told that the shuttle was busy for the rest of the morning and that this was only a COMPLIMENTARY shuttle ( I don't believe that means they can leave you stranded) ????? After an intense 10 minute conversation with the front desk manger working at the time she arranged for the shuttle to pick us up within the hour.

Don't offer a service if you cannot provide it !!!
