“Perfect for a quick night stay.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Perfect for just a quick overnight stay. Decent continental breakfast. Easy access to highway. There were some hairs on the hair dryer. Our room was right by the stairwell and you could really hear the stairwell door slam. When our room was cleaned, they did not replenish the mouthwash or the wash cloths. But for the price, it really wasn't bad. Would stay here again if needed.

“Nice enough and no complaints”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

I stayed here with my 2 daughters and grandbaby as we had a funeral on Staten Island. I booked thru Priceline and due to how I bid, I was only booked for 2 nights rather than the 3 which I needed. It all worked out fine as we were able to get the extra night thru the hotel directly. We had no problems with the quality of the room ( two double beds) and the "claim to fame" is the free buffet breakfast which for the type of hotel was a surprise. Nothing fancy but more than most of the 2* motel type offerings we have experienced. The staff was exceptionally pleasant and provided us with a crib ( no charge) for the baby. The location was not a problem for us as family members drove us to where we had to go.

Room Tip: I think all rooms are pretty much the same. Area is quiet so there was no noise to bother us.

“Nice Enough”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 November 2011

I only stayed here one day as I was driving through, but I got a great deal through a friends and family rate and stayed in a large room with great light from the window. Very clean, friendly staff, parking was a bit of a pain and with only a few spots it is first come first serve...but leave your car there you are just a few steps from the train. Its not the Ritz and expecting it to be you will be left disappointed..you get what you pay for

“dissappointment”

I have stayed in many hotels this one by far has been my greatest dissapointment. Staten Island has waited many years to have a variety of hotels, they could have skipped this one. The housekeeping was poor to non exsistant, and when requested service the house keeper could be overheard complaining aobut having to do her job. The worst part was when we re-entered the room after it had been"cleaned" it was no different other than to have the pillowcases changed as requested. the waste cans still had trash. the coffee pot remained dirty and the bed not changed. We had two rooms. In the other room hte bathroom was surrounded with mold and when they did change the bed they left the dirty lined balled up behind the entrance door. The person in charge of the breakfast area was very pleasant but not aware of basic hygiene practices. He was cleaning the floors and counters but did not wash his hands when he switched to handling the food. We won't stay here again.

“Location BAD, Rooms SMALL & Staff GREAT!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 November 2011

The location is in a bad place. Hard to get to and nothing close by to eat but Wendy's.
The rooms was very small for the 4 of us. We managed mainly because we was only there to sleep and shower.
No microwaves or fridges. Ice despenser is in the basement with the only vending and breakfast area.
We DID NOT use the trolley because we didn't want to have to have a set time to leave or come back so we parked at the Ferry ($8 - 5am-11pm).
The staff was great! There was only one we didn't care for because he seemed to not understand us when we asked him questions. Steve, the guy who worked in the breakfast area all 3 days we was there was AWESOME! He was VERY friendly, helpful and worked hard to get everyone anything the wanted or needed! I would return only to see his smiling face ever morning!
I agree with others on the comfortable beds, the soundproofing of the rooms and the parking. Over all it was ok. Would I stay again? Prob not because it wasn't convenient to anything on Staten Island. Also the price was MUCH higher than it should have been with so little to offer.
