We took a motorcycle ride up Long Island and chanced finding a place to stay. We just happened upon it. The office was closed when we arrived, but we called the number and quickly, Kate arrived. Before we even sat down in the office, she had stopped by our room, turned on the heat, and asked us if we had had dinner yet. People like her are the reason we tell everyone about our great trip--because of great people!

The room was great! Very clean, modern, homey.
The people were great - friendly, helpful, concerned . They were full, but were worried about our flight because of the weather and checked to see if it arrived, and remembered why we were there (to visit East End Camper)--very personable.
The entire area was very relaxing, close to the water, places to dine, yet not hectic. Loved the marina atmosphere. Tons of wineries.
We would stay again in a heartbeat.

I feel as if I can not thank you well enough for the most excellent way I was treated at your wonderful hotel, during my stays during September 2010 and October 2010.

Each person I met about the Port of Egypt property was nicer and more helpful than the person I’d seen before. Then, as I wandered around a bit more, I began to understand quite clearly why everyone seems to tell me that it is certainly a "most special spot."

I simply can not wait for to visit your terrific suites again early next year, soon after my too quickly pending Alaskan sea tour for work.

This is our third year coming to the North Fork and our second year staying at Heron Harbor. I honestly have nothing, but good things to say about our stay there. The rooms are clean and comfy. The sheets and towels are clean and soft. I know, the "clean" is redundant and should be a no-brainer, but I have stayed in places that were questionable. I love that there are full kitchens in the rooms. We ate breakfast in our rooms and packed lunches out of our rooms for both days. Kate is extremely helpful and accommodating.

I agree, there are no nice views and I was surprised to drive into the place the first time...and a little scared, BUT, it depends what you are looking for in a place. My friends and I go to visit the vineyards and are gone for most of the day. We went out to dinner one night and ordered pizza in the other. So, we spent very little time in our rooms. We had what we needed and were so satisfied and comfortable in our rooms.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.
