We booked this hotel to stay during the Hamptons Film Festival on Saturday 10/15/11. We stayed in Room 220. A little after midnight we saw 3 bedbugs crawling on the comforter. We were horrified and called the office immediately. No answer, and when we went to the office it was closed: no night shift desk, no answering machine, no nothing. No one in management was available for a late-night emergency, with no instructions about what to do if there was one. We killed the bugs and left their carcasses wrapped in tissue with a note as evidence on the room desk. We put all our belongings in plastic bags, left a note with the key and departed immediately. I called the office at 8:30 the next morning and the person who handled the call was extremely unsympathetic. Apathetically saying, "yeeeeah, we've had inspectors here before but they haven't found anything. Are you sure what you saw was what you think you saw?" It's absolutely bedbugs. When I asked about my room-charge being refunded I was told that my note would be left for the manager who "would be in...I'm not sure, maybe Tuesday or Wednesday...?"
