I stay here last week, and picked this place cause I only started looking the same day online. Other place such as the South Hampton Inn were sold out.
I picked this placed because of the top rating here in this site!
Problem is, the owner of this little motel, offers return customers 5% off if they write/post a POSITIVE review HERE on tripadvisior, (then bring it with them next time they return)
Admittingly a Great idea, but only for the owner of the dilapidated place.
Motel only has 8 rooms in total. (it is 4 decent side bungalows split in two sections)
They are charging almost full summer hamptons prices for this place, which is crazy.
I saw in the tripadvisior photo at sign out front. It reads "Pool & Tennis".
Well there is a small pool, that was run down but there. (closes at 5pm in the summer, so if u want to just hang out at night there u cant cause they lock it at only 5pm)
Tennis? lol. me and my girlfriend both looked for it, for a while almost as a joke cause it would be pretty hard to miss a full tennis court. We did find a no longer played basketball hoop, and some type of table tennis table covered up not used in years. (lets hope that is not what they meant by tennis!
The room was decent its own kitchen, and was maintain but the fixtures including the tv
were from many years ago. The mattress was very worn ect...
The woman whom I never spoke to you owns the place seemed nice, when I heard her speak to another group of people baited here. But she had put literally no money back into this motel in almost the heart of South Hampton. (4 miles outside of actual town).
Ower really needs to change the sign that says in really large letters 'Tennis' at the entrance. Deceptive, or she did not want to make the effort to get a updated one.
The Easterner motel did not even have a coke machine people.
I expect more for my $$$, maybe a bit but more then what this placed offered.
Some people sohuld just not own lodging's if they do not know who to maintain and run one.
I made the best of the place, and the town was nice enough.
I did had 'much' better food then the towns few restaurants without all the phoney attitude of the very rich you live there. Unlike other upscale towns I am in often, (including even west hampton) this town had little character, this includes many of its residents!
